And yeah, it's totally worth watching. The characters are well defined, the dialogue is funny and the animation is fantastic. I think for me it also carries a lot of nostalgia value too; the general feel of the show reminds me a lot of old cartoon network shows I used to love like Dexters Labority and the Powerful Girls (which makes sense since it's lead by the woman behind PG). But honestly I think it's better than that even, less random for one thing. It's not quite Samuria Jack level but it's up there.

As someone how loves cartoons anyway it wasn't a very hard sell for me. Once I got past the fact that it's so cute you feel like vomiting rainbows it's great.

I personally didn't liked it at all. The characters are uninteresting, storylines cliche, nothing there appealed to me. Light years behind The Adventure Time for example.

it's so cute! AND PINK. srsly, though, i suggest you give it a shot, as i'm an admitted brony and hanging with other bronies and have converted all people in my presence into, at least, closet bronies. tells you something, i'd say.

Man, I really need to watch more adventure time, what I've seen so far is great. It's just really... weird. It's definitely really aiming itself at an older audience primarily, which kids can also enjoy, unlike most animated shows where it's the reverse... the absurdist humour reminds me of Nedroid [http://nedroid.com/] more than anything.

I'd actually think both that and MLP are great in their different ways.

Oh come on! I thought it was tacitly decided NEVER to post Episode 1 or 2! They really ARE mushy gooey crap and not indicative AT ALL of the rest of the show. You should always post Episode 9, the one with the Zebra. Not only are the jokes awesome, the central theme of the entire episode is to "Not judge a book by it's Cover". "Double Meanings" go a LONG way in persuading people to watch a kid's show.....

I watched the first two episodes. You know who really liked it? My kids. Cause it's a kids show. Give it a try. If you like it then great, if you don't, then great. I honestly don't understand the fascination?

And for the people that say watch 5 episodes and it gets good, that's the FF13 reasoning. Play it for 30 hours and it doesn't suck after that.

The difference here between a 26-episode season of a cartoon and a 40+ hour JRPG is, well:
-You can watch any episode of that 26-episode season whenever you want and in any order you want.
-You can not, however, just say "screw that" and skip FF13's unreasonable 30-hour snore fest tutorial to get to the part that "doesn't suck".

EDIT: In regards to the OP - Yes, yes it is good. It is probably the best cartoon I have seen in a long, long time. At the very least, I can say that it's far better than the crap I watched as a kid (Thundercats, for example).

Yes, this show is great. The characters are fleshed out, it has good little comedic moments, and Lauren Faust wrote with the intent of people outside of the target audience watching it. Hell, I'm 14, I'm nowhere NEAR target audience.

Quick reference for people who haven't heard of Lauren Faust: She did this stuff for Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, one of Cartoon Network's good shows: developer, supervising producer, writer, story, story supervisor, storyboard artist, character designer, animation director, story editor.

I watched a few episodes on T.V (hidden) and it's not bad. It has its moments for sure and I really can't say that it is a bad show.

ps I blame the escapist for me watching the show. Ponies have taken over this website.

One thing I can say is that is better than every other cartoon on Nick and most if not all on cartoon network
