Is pokemon still cool? + What's your favourite Pokemon?

I like the games, they're a mega easy RPG that you can laugh at after playing through your choice of Final Fantasy game, but I do and always have hated every other part of them.

Gold and Silver were the last good ones and even then they made up some silly pokemon. now to answer OP question it's not cool, never was. but my god is it fun. i still play pokemon gold on my gameboy colour and find it brilliant. nothing more fun than trying to collect every single pokemon. although the game gets boring once you have a pile of coral that can destroy everyone in a single attack.

Psh. Nostalgia blinds you. Empoleon is a giant steel penguin - how is that not awesome?

Still, the best Pokemon of all time will forever be Eevee. And it's evolutions.

True, but as much as I love Water starters, Empoleon sorta sucked. I never really caught on to Steel types (apart from Lucario or Scizor).

Anyway, my favourite pokemon? Considering Celebi doesn't count, I choose either Kingdra, Nidoqueen or Staraptor. I like to nickname the latter 'Mohawk', for obvious reasons.

Empoleon does suck, but there are a lot of cool stuff in the new generation... Torterra, Chatot, Luxio... I dunno, maybe it was just cooler to me because I totally skipped Generation 3... I hadn't played at all since Gold and I thought to myself 'You know, self, it's been a long time since I jammed helpess critters into airtight balls and had them fight for my amusement.' So I snagged Pearl when it came out.

I really hate Lucario, though... for them to make him a generation poster child he should be powerful or cute... He's 0 for 2, in my opinion.

Plus I kinda want new Pokemon so I can field a whole turtle team... We've got a fire one, a water one, and a grass one already... : 3

I was there from the beginning and I gotta say, Pokemon was only cool in Primary School. In either case I still enjoy some Pokeymans action, the games are still solid RPG affairs and are still totally addicting.

As for my favourite Pokemon? At the moment Shinx is, it's just so darn cute.

Ask primary school kids, they decide what is classed as cool in the children's department. The games are still good but the show went wonky and as for favourite Pokemon, mine is Umbreon. Purely for aesthetics.

I liked the second generation, Gold/Silver/Crystal. It rocked my socks, and I bought Crystal off a friend for $2 to re-play for nostalgic purposes. Favourite Pokemon is probably Arcanine.

The only way pokemon were ever cool was if you ground them up, shaped them into patties and froze them for later consumption.
Common sense tip to catching pokemon
1. find pokemon
2. shoot it with a tranq dart
3. forget why you wanted to capture it
4. kill it
5. mount the head on your wall.

My favorite is Hamburgeron (god help me if there's actually one named that.)
