O.k Idk if I am the only one but i have yet to meet another person like me. I really find beauty in the decrepit or like the dilapidated. Like Urban sprawl or an old abandon house. I'm not some pessimistic like goth guy or anything of the sort. I'm I really funny and happy guy for the most part. I also find beauty in the crazy or insane. The pictures of Hieronymus Bosch really interest me. Now dont get me wrong there is nothing more beautiful than a gorgeous girl or the moon and stars. And I have a completely normal gf and a normal life. but is this wierd? is any one else like this? and if so what would you call it?
You know, it is very possible to like things two things that are opposites. It is possible to like a sweet candy or a sour lemon, just as it's possible to like red and green, or blue and orange. As far as music, I like everything from calm piano solos to Dragonforce, and Nightwish to religious ballads. I like country and rock. Everyone is like this, in one form or another. So it makes perfect sense you could like Bosch and beautiful women. Hell, it would make you unusual if you
couldn't see beauty in different things. I've known plenty of people who love the artworks of the renaissance and Picasso. Two completely different things.
I feel like either one of two things is going on here with you. Either you are seeking camaraderie and validation by trying to find others with similar interests (considering it seems you have no one else near you that likes those things), or you hope that by putting a big flashing sign on your "unique" qualities and asking people to discuss them you will gain attention and cause others to confirm and praise just how different you think you are. Sorry if that sounds harsh, but in my experience if someone wants to start a conversation about their quirks that are "so different" or they "can't explain," they're either attention seekers or just narcissists. Or both.
You are the least accurate judge of who you are and what makes you unique. Whatever you decide is your "thing" or something that is "unusual" about you, you are either dead wrong or you have picked that for the wrong reasons. Your character isn't based on what you think of you. It's based on what others think of you.
