Is Star Wars silly?

Watch Space Balls. But full series was good with the exception of the books, comics, Episode 2, and the new cgi cartoon. Cause all the stuff i just mentioned is just downright silly.

After watching A New Hope on DVD for the first time in a while - yeah, it actually is pretty silly. But I still love it - it's just awe-inspiring to think about all the influences and ideas that went into it's creation, and the influences that it in turn had on so many other books, movies, games, whatever.

The overall plot of the movies was a little bit flimsy, but star wars bis so much bigger than the movies.

There are alot of actual books made about it, there are some pretty good games, there are also some realy good short-stories that you can find in comic books (some of which however are absolute G-rated bullshit that would be more entertaining if vomited on the page), and of coarse there is the TV series which is the equivalent to a fourth grader who didn't study for a test so he just tries to see how many wrong answers he can get.

My point is however, Star Wars isn't just six movies, there is in fact a "star wars universe."
