Is Team Fortress 2 for 360 worth it?

is there anyone who doesn't play PC games and is enjoying the 360 version?

This is The Escapist, almost everyone here has a PC capable of playing TF2. So why on Earth would they buy it for 360?

Why on bloody Earth would you want to get the console version?
The PC version has better maps, customs maps, more players, more servers, custom servers, faster loading times, better GUI and connectivity, (STEAM > XBL) better controls, customizable macros, better graphics, smoother framerate should I go on?

My question was whether or not TF2 is sufficiently playable on the 360 (lag reduction/bug fixes, etc.).

It's a matter of preference. While the system requirements for TF2 may not be particularly prohibitive, I'd much rather play a game in my living room on the 46" plasma with a controller than in the study on my less-than-ideal rig with a WASD/mouse setup.

I'm still unsure though - is it really as unplayably laggy online as it was when I tried it?

To be honest, it is a bit more laggy than most FPS's you can play on Live, but as long as you have a decent connection it shouldn't be too much of an issue.

I am starting to doubt if those updates will ever hit Live though, they've been putting it off for way too long.
