The compliments that confuse me the most are the ones that are very clearly not true. Recent examples are of a student calling me "slim" with a straight face, despite the fact that she's so small I could probably use her to floss my teeth.

Mexican... sweet! (I heard a lot of Americans say some bad stuff about Mexicans for some reason but not from me because...) I am British and I LOVE (or at the very least like) everything... well not everything, but most things.
