Is The Escapist the most civilized gaming website?

I could repeat what everybody else is saying, but I would guess this forum is more "civilized" because of the content of the site. Most of us came here at one time for insightful articles and actual critique of (video) gaming, as oppossed to the basic news, mediocre reviews, and mainstream opinion that one would find on G4 or IGN. I'm not saying that The Escapist community is smarter, just that the site itself attracts the more intellectually curious and open minded.

Eh, could be better. I actually think the mods aren't strict enough when it comes to flaming. Like if they saw a heated argument between two users they could tell them both to keep it to PMs, and then give warnings if they didn't. That could be used a lot more often for cases that don't quite deserve mod wrath but still need to be modded.

Also, quarantine off Religion and Politics.

Mmmhmmm. I know I'm biased to lean towards the argument that we're 'civilized' but then I stop myself because I remember this is my first and only forum I frequent and that there are probably other, better bastions of intelligence and politeness around.
