you do realize that article actually proved what i was saying right? so thanx for proving me right. they were holding onto one specific measurement, which is NOT what i'm saying or have said, while there is proven health benefits for the .7 hip to waist ratio, most men prefer between .7 and .9 and that's even what the article was saying.
Do you have any idea how big a difference 0.7 is from 0.9?

sex is about procreation, whether or not you consciously think about it or want it at that time, you are only doing it because that's the end result.
Now this is obviously false. Correlation is not causation. Evolutionary history is not a reason, it's a condition. The reason we have sex remains in most cases to be the pursuit of pleasure. That is the conscious purpose and unconscious motivation. Otherwise there would be no evolutionary reason for sex to be pleasurable. Now you can say that it's only pleasurable because being motivated in that way to have sex was selected for, and lack of pleasure selected against, but that isn't the same thing... at all. If nothing else, the existence of contraceptives breaks the logical chain: if I'm wearing a condom or I know she's on the pill, I'm not consciously or unconsciously having sex to have children. It's just plainly not what I'm doing. I can consciously manipulate the biological responses to certain conditions while robbing those responses of the evolutionary context that caused them to be selected for in the first place: that is basically what it means to have a frontal cortex. Hedonism is just a bit more common than rampant childbearing, as well it should be.
Thank you, thank you, and thank you. You're obviously better informed and better able to articulate this than I am. When he tickled my funny bone I wasn't able to resist indulging a bit of fun, but truly I can never keep my mouth shut whenever anyone says that we're just puppets acting out the roles given to us by god/destiny/genetics or whatever. Otherwise we would be non-sentient animals

Nothing can represent what all men find attractive.

I don't consider really any model to be that sexy. Sorry if twigs with eyes aren't hot to me but they aren't.

I don't even find women in porn that sexy. They all look like barbie dolls and I hate fake breasts. I'm an all natural kind of guy.

My ideal woman is someone who's in shape, not overly skinny but not fat either, not too short but not too tall (around 5'6-5'8) and someone I can hold a conversation with and I doubt a modle would fall in that category.

For women, yes. Women use clothes as a way of reading people's personality.

I just wish more women would get that in their heads!

I think the comic industry has the best take on what men find attractive in women. Specifically, She-Hulk.

Hell yeah! I totally go for green women.

Porn is made with a (mostly) male target audience so obviously it's a reflection of what guys want to see in girl. There's a very wide variety of body types available in porn, which just goes to show that different guys like different things, and it's impossible to generalise about what guys like. Pretty much all guys are into visual stimulation, hence why porn is so popular with guys, but the exact type of visual stimulation varies massively from guy to guy. If I posted up here some of the pornstars that I find interesting (which I won't), I guarantee you that many of the guys here wouldn't agree with me. But some would.
I do.

The fasion modelling industry...is an industry that is purely about selling clothes....
Does this depend on the type of fashion? I mean, Victoria's Secret. That's about looking attractive in the bedroom, and again the women are pretty skinny (although I'll admit I find some of them attractive, although it's mainly their faces, not their bodies.

And yeah there is the odd male who, when in a relationship, will put stupid pressure on women about "you should lose that weight" or whatever, usually said while the guy is sitting on the couch eating chips and watching TV, not moving his fat ass. Needless to say that these guys should be dumped by their girlfriends as soon as possible, and ladies do your best to not end up with one like that.
I disagree with that to some extent. Often when women settle down with a guy they have a BIG habit of 'letting go'. When many women are single, they're healthy. But when they find a bloke, they feel safe and often self-indulge too much into unhealthy eating, sitting on the couch watching TV or reading a book and socialise less with friends.

I've spoken to many women about this conclusion and most have agreed with me.

I agree a BF telling a women to lose weight is terrible if it's merely to cater more to his tastes, but many a times it's because the women is clearly not looking after herself for whatever reason.

I know it's crazy to men. I'm a size 10 and I have my "fat" days because of stuff in the magazines.
I just looked up an American size 10 and I found this:

If you're the same size as this girl than I can safely say you've nothing to worry about. Nothing.

Well, I believe in individual thought, so I can't speak for all men. But personally, super-thin, strung out, half-zombie women who are airbrushed and makeup-ed to oblivion aren't my bag of tea.

If I can't have a normal conversation with someone, I lose most interest.
^ filled with win

Besides most of those women are plastic and hollow
