Is there any meat you wouldn't eat?

i'd be willing to try anything once
i'd have a moral dilemma on my hands if panda was served up to me or anything like that
but hey, if it's already been cooked i might as well eat it
being hungry ain't gonna bring it back to life

but i'm really not sure about human meat
i'd try it
but i'd:
A) feel weird about it. who it was, how they lived etc.
and B) be wondering if it was entirely legal... cos i don't think it is

As a vegetarian, all of them.

But to look at the wider picture (and try to not get flamed), why should you not eat any particular kind of meat? It's all just animals.
To take the OP's example: why not dog? Other cultures eat them just the same, and it's not like they do anything for humanity any more (except pets)

It depends on a culture's relationship with them I suppose. Depending on where you go, the value of a species will vary. In the good Ole U S of A dogs are normally seen as the pinnacle of animal loyalty to humans. In other places, they may not be the first thing that comes to mind when you say "man's best friend" and I'm sure there are those places that eat them.

It depends on the animal's role in the culture. Are they a pest and seen as more 'dirty' than others? Are they almost exclusively pets, and as such the species is seen as a companion? OR is there entire purpose to these people, simply live stock, and they offer nothing else, to the majority?

Endangered animals, heads, organs and human meat for obvious reasons.
I also wouldn't eat anything small because the smaller the animal the more bone to meat ratio and I really hate working through small bones that you can choke on to get to the meat. Like squirrels. I think a cute little fluffy tailed squirrel would taste great. Nice tender meat since it's an extremely agile animal, but very little of it sadly.
Even though the original post said taste isn't a legal rule to exclude anything I will still say that whale doesn't taste too good.

I heard it can be dangerous to eat animals that eat animals due to the increased chance of infection.

As for endangered animals if people started eating them then companies might put money into breeding them so they no longer be endangered.

I would feel squeamish about eating cat, as I really like cats.

EDIT: Or the fish that nearly killed Homer Simpson was it a blow fish or something?
