I would eat anything you give me that won't kill me...instantly.

EDIT: Although I won't eat veal because I don't like tortured baby cows.

As long as it comes from a mammal or bird and isn't toxic/infected, I'd give it a good try. Even human flesh.

surely eating the meat from an endangered animal would be better than leaving it, if you leave it then its gone to wast, its already dead, at least eat it
What exact scenario are you working with here? If I'm starving to death then all bets are off. And I suspect anyone here would kill and eat any animal rather than starve to death.

If someone found a dead Siberian tiger and cooked it, I suppose there would be little harm... but that isn't going to happen. A scenario where this occurred would have to be something along the lines of it being a fresh kill... but how is this going to happen? If said Tiger was hit with a car, then it is an accident, but eating it might encourage more "accidents" so no, I wouldn't eat it. If it had just been killed with a bolt of lightning, or it had been killed by another predator or what not then maybe it would be a "once in a life" thing but really...no one wants to eat mutilated food.

So the final option is that someone already killed it for its meat (or ivory or pelt) and you might as well eat it. I'm going to go with no, because you are then tacitly approving of the death of said endangered animal. It creates a market for it. This is why, when elephant poachers are caught, the ivory is burned. Yeah, it is technically "wasting" it since the animal is already dead, but you don't want to allow any profit or benefit to be made by that animals death.

So no, I would not eat it even if it was already dead. Unless, like any other human being, it was a matter of life or death.
ok, situation is you are a guest at a villiage in uganda, the local hunters have been out for days and returned with a (white or black, cant remember which) rhinosaurous, theyve hunted it just for you to eat, if you dont eat it then you insult your hosts, what do you do?

im not suggesting that profiting is what you want to do, or what anyone wants to do, but maybe thats the solution, imagine a world where the potato hadnt ever become popular, its unlikely that anyone would eat it and therefore it may be extinct, why dont we make it trendy to eat endangered animals, causing big multinational companys to invest in their breeding, causing a huge population surge, problem solved :p

I wouldn't eat anything's genitals. I live in an area where prairie oysters (read: testicles off a recently castrate bull) are spoken highly of by many. I just don't think I could ever stomach the thought of eating anything like that.

Aside from that, I would try plenty of meat. I've had deer, elk, moose, buffalo, bear, rabbit, pheasant, etc. I like to think I'll try almost anything once. Hell, as long as I didn't know what I was eating I'd try prairie oysters, too.

Well... poisonous stuff, obviously, beyond that... I don't think so. Maybe if it's from a pet, or a good friend, but even then, I couldn't really answer until that sort of situation came along.

Oh, I don't know if they count, but eggs. It's not any sort of ethical or moral thing. I just plain don't like the taste of eggs. I mean, I've only ever tried chicken eggs, and I'll eat stuff that small slivers of egg in it, but I wouldn't eat a whole egg. Just don't like eggs. I don't like the texture, I don't like the colour and I definitely do not like the smell of them.

I don't eat veal as a personal taste.
Also I don't think I could bring myself to eat dog. Human, any of those slightly mentally challenging types.

Dog's (In my belief) are our most faithful companions and as a favor I don't think eating them is a fine way to show our appreciation. Cat's but only because I think they might take over the earth if we do. I don't have a problem with rodents or birds but the majority of them would probably taste a bit nasty (I'm talking small birds here).

Otherwise we do what we have to do to survive. Anything is possible. But while I have the option I'd rather leave those ones out of the equation.

Nope. I'd give it all a chance.
Even live octopus?

OT:.. Live Octopus.
Hell no. Octopus is too tough to be eaten raw. Plus, all those suction cups on the arms stick going down, so no. I'd cook it first.

On Topic:

For me, I've tried a lot of things that would not be considered a part of the American diet. Ostrich, Veal, and Buffalo meat (actually a buffalo/ cow hybrid) were pretty tasty the times I've had it.

If I am in a survival situation, however, everything is potentially on the menu as long as I do the killing myself.
