The following phrase you said doesn't make sense: "men who give into lust for each other deserve the same fate as men who give into lust for a woman". That speaks about promiscuity. It compares men who lust after women to men who lust after men. In logical adaption we can shorten the phrase thusly: "men who give into lust for x".

As for: "and that no homosexuals will inherit the kingdom of god", there is no such verse in the bible and you should check the last page of revelations as to what happens to people who add or remove from the bible. Have fun with your plagues.

The first part is a referance to Romans chapter 1 and rereading it, I guess it doesn't necassarily say "deserve the same fate as those who give into lust for a woman" but it does describe it as perverted and indecent and uses a number of names to basically say they will become bad people because they were given minds to "do what ought not to be done".

Marriage is seen as a religious institution in my country, and most of the countries represented here, it happens in a church/chapel, it is believed to be in the presence of God, a holy union set forth in the bible. Now although marriage is quickly moving away from this 'holy' view, as now you don't have to get married in a church, or by an ordained person, and divorce is seen as far more socially acceptable than, say 50 years ago, there are still many religious people who view marriage as a religious event, to be done in reverence to God and in accordance with the Bible.

Now, it doesn't take a genius to figure that the main religions and most religious people still believe that homosexuality is a sin against God, and thus a gay marriage is an unholy union, ergo gay marriage is be wrong. It's a pretty simple straightforward point of view.

I think that the religious people who say that sorta thing are using their religion to back up their own personal bigotry, but hey that's just what I think...

As for the main topic, HELL YEAH THEY SHOULD BE ABLE TO MARRY! THEY SHOULD ALSO BE ABLE TO ADOPT AND HAVE EVERY MOTHER FUCKING RIGHT AS EVERYONE ELSE! I mean seriously, times are changing, and if we don't allow stuff like this, we'll stay stuck with the ways of the past! I'm pretty sure the current rate of rapid population is a pretty solid counter argument against that. While heterosexuality should by no means be abolished, there is no reason homosexuality should be considered wrong.

This has been posed several times but I don't think it's been answered: What about a heterosexual couple where one or both members are, through genetic defect, disease, injury, etc, unable to have children? Are they similarly persecuted and legally bared from marriage?

Homosexuality - 3% of the population, or there abouts (I've heard that figure most often, but figures seem to vary a lot, but never climb above 10%)

That leaves 97% of the population (again, creeping down to 90% depending on who you go to for the stats) ready to make as many kids as possible.

I'm pretty sure that homosexuals were not taught to be homosexuals. If a child is heterosexual, that means he won't be able t get it up for another guy/gal and if he/she can, then he/she was gay all along.

Besides, there are enough straight people around to not worry about extinction.

In a way yes, but it's my personal belief that kids should have both a male and female parent, so issues like gender confusion can be avoided.
