Why does everyone think Bethesda are crap for a game studio, i don't get it since, in my opinion, fallout 3 and the TES series wore awesome games.

Would really appreciate your help.

After reading some of your posts i would like to ask the question, why is Morrowind so much better than oblivion?

I've heard there was allot of complaint on the difficulty and the stiffness of the characters, any thoughts?

What about the mods and expansions whom will add-on to the gameplay.

There are more than 20 000 buggs, about 7 in every quest, 10 around every scripted character, 20 around all the different kinds of creatures, more than a couple of 1000 graphical glitches, more than 500 dialogue based buggs and 10 for every scripted event. Is this a problem?

I don't mind Bethesda, but I know for a fact that their programmers are below average.

Bethesda are awesome, but not as awesome as they used to be. Morrowind is their best game that I've played, although that Cthulhu one looks good.

They don't suck. They just have a hard time making games without bugs, glitches, etc. and they can't make a good story. Oh and the battle system sucks (in every game I've played made by them) but I'm used to more strategic stuff when it comes to RPG's.

That's just my opinion.

Fans of the original Fallout games are still sore at FO3 not being turn-based. Fuck 'em, I say.

I think Bethesda is a great developer, one of the greatest of these times anyway. The only thing I hate about their games is the poor animations and lifeless characters (I'm not talking about the voices or the dialogue). But then again, I understand it has something to do with the vast worlds they make... anyway, I'm 70 hours into F3 and haven't finished it yet, I love to explore.

Bethesda have made the games that have sucked most of my life away, I think I've clocked over 200+ hours on Oblivion alone.

Hear hear :)

I don't think i've ever heard anyone speak bad of the Bethesday games (apart from the common argument that the oblivion world is just fields, fields, mountains... no variety)

But i dont even mind that,

Bethesda is a great studio and the only better hands that Fallout could have fallen into would have been Bioware, they just desperately need to hire some real writers and learn how to tell a gawdamn story.

One of the major flaws with bethesda is their writting staff...most of their plots are horrible.

I dont think anyone thinks Bethesda sucks. The only reason I dont like Fallout 3 too much is because American RPGs arent really my perfered genere, but I still have it anyway. The only unapealing thing is that the whole Capital Wasteland is a bunch of rubble, which makes traveling feel boring because there is no sight seeing on the way to destinations

It might just be the stiff characters, bad voice acting (depending on the game), and the difficulty at getting into the game. When I first played Oblivion, I had no idea what to do or how to do it, so I stopped playing for three months until a friend helped me get pass my problems. And since the world is so large and open, it can lead to some glitches, performance problems, et cetera. But I loved Oblivion and Fallout 3. The VATS system, mines, and grenades were a create addition.

Their games don't last to me. If I beat the game with one character there is little reason to do so with another. For me, if I don't get more than 20 hours out of a game then it wasn't worth the $50 I payed for it. That has been the case for both Oblivion and Fallout 3. Morrowind, though, was pretty good.

I think, though, that they have been fairly consistent with their games. However, I don't feel that the quality of the games they make have gone up any. Very much that the quality of the other games made has gone down, which has made these games seem very good.

Well Bethesda are one of my favourite developers, if not my absolute favourite, maybe my overwhelming love of them has blocked out all the people who hate them because I haven't heard that many.
