Is this ''cheating?''

It's a single-player game. What the hell does it matter what others think? If it makes the game more fun for you, then by all means, keep consoling in more arrows. Technically it's cheating, but it's like cheating at solitaire: if you enjoy it, who cares?

Well...I had to actually cheat in FO:NV today...I was in Vault 11 punching mantis' when I suddenly fell through the floor and ended up under the overseers desk, in the hidden tunnel.

I walked down and finished the whole Martyr event...I found the PC saying "Override Lockdown" I assumed this opened the overseer desk...when I got back, nope...so I had to open console and use the "movetoqt" command to get out of there >.<

OT: You are cheating...but you're not cheating to ruin the game for anyone, would be worse if it was in a MP game.
What you did there was NOT cheating. If the game BREAKS on you (bad level design and you fall through the world for example) using the console to FIX the game breaking element isn't cheating. Granted I suppose if you had a fairly recent save you could backtrack hopefull less than 30 mins of gameplay worth to do it again and see if the glitch happens again, or try to avoid it of course.

Usually when I am in a situation like that I see how much time I would lose and if I can spare redoing it again. Usually I reload and try again to avoid having to use the console. But if a save is corrupt or the game is literally broken regardless of the saves I fall back on, then there is nothing you can do but over-ride the game and FIX what ever problem persists.

This type of console use is NEVER cheating if the problem can not be resolved. But again, you can always reload and try again, but if it happens again, what can you do?
True, I could just have loaded from last point....but I had been wading through the same wing in the vault for 1 hour, picking up anything I could use, ex. Cigarette packs for sierra madre chips and things to jury rigg xD

I was thinking of it, but when it's been 1-2 hours since last save...fuck no >.<
1 to 2 hours is too long to waste imo :) It was an obvious glitch, you weren't SUPPOSE to be able to get down there like that, so really it isn't cheating. And I know what you mean about going on those huge loot binges and then getting to some point where something like that happens and you are like AHHHH I got all this stuff and don't REALLY want to do it again! It is like re-living the SAME thing again... and if that was the same outcome you would have had anyways, really why invest the time-sink redoing the same thing you JUST did?! So yeah, I wouldn't sweat that one at all.

Oh please, I used to take advantage of all the money glitches and repeating glitches all the time.

If you have fun and absolutely no one else is affected by it, have a blast. It's your game.

Is that really bad cheating
Not at all
:S Do you think I should stop it.
No, not at all
Have you ever done anything similar in a game? What do you think?
Yes

In Neverwinter Nights 2 I used the debug console to put all of my stats to 40, gave myself 10 million gold coins, +5 Armor, a +5 enchanted weapon, and tons of magical scrolls.

What you do dwarfs in comparision.
Is that worse than using the test stats in the debug room in Morrowind? I had over 10k health + other shit.

OT: No I don't think it is in Oblivion. They make you take way too many arrows with you considering the damage they do. If you don't want to cheat turn the difficulty down. To be honest stealth kills should be 1 hitters anyway.

Technically, I suppose it would be cheating... but it's not like it affects anyone but you, and it makes the game more fun for you, so I don't think it really matters. If it's bothering you, just put a good lightweight dagger in your inventory for when you run out of arrows (although I'd be inclined to say that you should just go right on using the console; once I finish the playthrough I'm on now I'm probably going to go back through making free use of console commands).
That is another thing, after your first play through where you can say you didn't touch the console, I don't think it really matters too much what you do on your second, third, or hundredth playthrough. If you beat the game without console once, you did it! Why climb Mt. Everst the second time without a few oxygen bottles for the ride if things get tough? Although I rarely ever use the console since it offers so much power, it doesn't mean you can't play around with the settings sometimes, but I usually don't save my game after playing around with it, but that is up to you, it is your single player experience.
