Is this stealing adobe photoshop? Moral conundrum

I actually had a friend who worked on Photoshop 7 and he unofficially (read: Adobe doesn't endorse this) said this is the attitude of a lot of the Photoshop developers.

Nonetheless, what the OP is talking about is definitely illegal

I suspected as much. What with how easy it has always been to get a copy of their software, and the arguable benefits of young people getting hands-on experience with it before they go pro, I'd be surprised if the majority of PS developers didn't support this behavior.

Sometimes, the law can stand a little breaking.

Once you start making money by using Photoshop, then it's time to pay up.

Until then, just focus on getting to the point where you're in a position to make that sort of money.

If you can't afford it, check for a student copy, otherwise I'd say pay for it when you can. That's the honest thing to do imho.

Talk to your University. While I haven't heard that Adobe has an Academic Alliance like Microsoft offers, you will at least be able to get it heavily discounted.

Check the prices for the educational versions in your university's bookstore.

If you get Financial Aid or Student Loans, or Scholarships, etc, you can also request additional funds for the purchase of educational software.

Look if you want to express your extreme views on piracy best do it elsewhere because the escapists isn't the forum for you.

As a forum with a population of mostly adult male gamers your not accomplishing anything on here and people are going to start thinking that you are a troll.

You've just got to learn when it comes to piracy no one is squeaky clean especially young people such me and yourself.

You can't parade around the escapist being the police force for piracy. Many people are not going to take kindly to it and its not what these forums are all about.
