Is x-box live going free?

I can give absolutely give no reasons as to why Microsoft would switch over to free. It would seem that most XBL users don't mind the fee, and almost think of it as a 1-up over the PSN. I have XBL, and don't really think of the fee as a thorn in my side. The monthly expense goes unnoticed, really.
Microsoft made Games for Windows Live free cause they knew true PC gamers weren't gonna put up with that when they could go else were and play for free. But XBL is a different story cause PC servers have sponsors while console servers are run by the company that owns the console and with Microsoft you'd have a better chance of getting a cure for AIDS before M$ made XBL free.
yep, it was a big piece of S***y information. That's never going to happen and if it does I'll remove 3 of my own vertabre, cut out half my rib cage and suck my own dick.
While it is highly unlikely, I think XBL could be free in a not too distant future, all that is required is that the competition increase.

You don't have to pay anything to get silver. This should be taken as a lesson, Microsoft produce many 'free' products. But if you want any of them to do what it says it does on the box, you'll be paying.
