Is your favorite Manga also your favorite Anime?

Since animation adaptations are almost always inferior to the original manga, no. I can count the number of adaptations which measure up to the manga on my fingers and there're even less I'd consider better than the original.

My favourite manga is Berserk, and the anime adaptation almost put me off of reading the manga because of how fucking fugly it looked (First time I came into contact with the story is through the anime).

My favorite manga is also Negima. However, I've been told that every anime adaptation of Ken Akamatsu's work is butchered when turned into an anime. So, my favorite anime is Death Note.Tartarga said:

Nope, my fave manga is Card Captor Sakura while my fave anime is BoBoBo or Ghost In The Shell.

Not really, my favorite anime is FLCL and as for manga I guess it would be Negima, however
We will have to wait and see since it is ending soon apparently
My absolute favorite manga of all time is Petshop of Horrors. I don't know how it went in Japan but in the US, all we got was 4 to 8 episodes which I'm pretty sure didn't even make it to DVD. Sad too because I really loved that series.
A close second though is Fist of the North Star and even though it's dated and, cuts down on the brutality of the manga, it's still pretty good...actually it deviates from the manga somewhat so as to make Shin into a season one arch-villain. Also, like many fighting-based anime, the first series is a couple hundred episodes long. Unlike DBZ though, every episode introduces a new villain for that day who dies by the end of the episode (for the most part: Jackle, Shin, Sauzer and a few others last a couple of episodes)

I would think so. I enjoy reading the Bleach manga and the Bleach anime is the only one I bother to keep up with.
