I'm from Coweta, Oklahoma. We had two brothers in town that graduated with my dad play in the NFL. I actually had one as a football coach.

It was pretty awesome.

That's about it.

Johnson City New York has a few interesting things. It along with the few towns around are the Carousel Capital of the World, and the Endicott Johnson Corporation, which was one of the largest shoe manufacturing companies.

Surrey (part of Vancouver to put it simply) BC has two sister cities, Kōtō, Tokyo (Japan, durr) and Zhuhai, Guangdong (China). I never knew about Zhuhai, but I did know about Tokyo, which I thought was cool. Also our school district (Number 36) is the largest in the Province of British Columbia. The wiki article also makes mention of my high school, Holy Cross Regional High School.

Oh and we had the Olympics here or something.

My home town is known for having two massive explosions. One from a box car carrying 5,000 pounds of nitro glycerine and the other from a natural gas pipeline explosion.

Apparently, owning horses.

The first question anyone asks when they find out where I live is, "Do you own horses?"

(Corrales, New Mexico, by the way. If there is a single person who knows where that is, my brain will explode.)

I just learned today that that crazy preacher in Florida who started 'International Burn a Kuran Day' graduated from the local highschool here in Missouri.
We already are the hometown of Rush Limbaugh and now this. I'm ashamed.

Pretty sure this was done the other day but......

I live in Tennessee. It's known for 2 things; racism and intolerance.
I was born in Winnipeg, it's also known for two things; drunken, smelly, homeless Native Americans who blame you for everything because of your skin color and won't fucking help themselves and bitter cold, in fact, so cold it's nicknamed Winterpeg.

York here. It's known for the Minster I guess, and I'm pretty sure there was a well known incident about a mass killing of jews a long long time ago but I haven't looked up the details.

Doesn't it also have the windiest street corner in the world (Port and Main)?

My hometown of Bethpage, New York is quite famous actually. If the cold war were ever going to start my town would have been the first to have been wiped off the face of existence in all of America. Why? The reason being my hometown had a place called Grumans(Think that's how it is spelled). It created fighter jets I forget what kind ( I want to say stealth bombers) but they were top of the line back then and was a very large producer of them back in the cold war era it has long since closed. They also did something with chemicals, can't remember. Some of the ground in my town was so toxic people were banned from going to a park until they could fix it. Seriously an entire park and this was like three years ago. They also advised people to not dig in their yards forever ago. Still not entirely sure its safe really. We also hosted some golf tournament, tiger woods said it was one the toughest places he ever played heh. I know their something else as well... Cant remember.

My hometown is known for a few famous artists that lived here in the past and an annual blues festival.
