My school had an SRO (student resource officer) who got caught drinking with underage girls, but gets away clean.Wolfy1328 said:not cool. Its not like the girl made her self have a seizure for the lols. she probably couldn't help it.
At my school, there is this fat sweaty guy who is the PE teacher for both girls and boys. last year he made the 8th grade girls dance for him in the back of his classroom. He got fired but my school is so frickin cheap they re-hired him and gave him his job as teacher again.
And even nastier, he makes us run extra laps so we get all sweaty. then he stares at us. Its weird.
Oh, ok then, you are from a nation that actually ranks education as a top priority and not a tax burden. That makes much more sense nowFridge said:I'm fairly well informed (my mums a teacher and I used to help her out at her college) but I am outside the USA, UK in fact.Kanlic said:You Guys are either are from somewhere outside of the USA or just poorly informed, but nothing ever happens to teachers when it comes to dealing with students. Hell, I remember hearing an NPR report about teachers who have been legally deemed guilty by the court of law for sexually harassing students, and the teachers punishment is this paid probationary period where the teacher sits in a "rubber room" and files papers all day while getting paid.
Do you have any proof that says the USA does not pay top priority to education? Don't get me wrong, the priorities in the schools themselves might be a bit stupid, but America is pretty big with the whole 'school to get a good job' thing, you know.Kanlic said:Oh, ok then, you are from a nation that actually ranks education as a top priority and not a tax burden. well to a certain extent, but its hard to believe that schools are a top priority when it feels like the school boards are run by the guys from 3D RealmsALuckyChance said:Do you have any proof that says the USA does not pay top priority to education? It depends on the location of the schools. Places like Washington D.C. probably are a lot better funded than, say, Alabama. I believe school education is also just as much the state's responsibility as it is the entire USA's, in terms of how much funding they want.Kanlic said:well to a certain extent, but its hard to believe that schools are a top priority when it feels like the school boards are run by the guys from 3D RealmsALuckyChance said:Do you have any proof that says the USA does not pay top priority to education? well to be fair, it IS the states responsibility. I'm from Texas, so my view is pretty much a bias from thereALuckyChance said:It depends on the location of the schools. Maybe its just a district by district thing is. I mean c'mon, I finished high school without ever having to think or try. That to me is a problem.ALuckyChance said:I'm from Texas too. Arent all english teachers idiots?BenzSmoke said:Something similar happened at my school. The teacher thought it was another 'childish gag' until the poor kid started foaming at the mouth. Then she got the nurse.
OT: Well she's an idiot. Hopefully she'll get transferred.
