You don't play many japanese games do you.The Rogue Wolf said:And then we'll turn around and wonder why gamers are stereotyped as basement-dwelling, socially-lifeless manchildren who objectify women.
The other market would pulverize them. Better stay in the niche.Johnisback said:Can you make them naked this time around?
Take note Team Ninja, I'm not interested unless you can make them naked.
Pornography without nudity will always be a niche market.
Yes. Much like the legend of Sir Isaac Newton and the falling apple, Professor Babbage drew similar inspiration when the top button of a young woman's blouse inexplicably came loose as she bent down to pick up a tuppence.Mikeybb said:The cumulation of all of his works.Zen Bard said:Ah "jiggle physics".

It's a little known fact about Babbage that he had an extreme interest in the stress tolerance levels of corsetry and the improbable motility of feminine elements therein contained.
His engine was created to aid in the calculation of such things to an point of exactitude.
The old man would shed a tear to see his dream come true.
Fortunately nobody cares about said stereotypes or people who believe in those. Especially now that every smartphone/tablet owner is considered to be a "gamer" and a consumer in their own right, just like consumers of all other media. In fact it's considered trendy and fashionable to be a gamer now (whatever that word means to peopleThe Rogue Wolf said:Did I say that gamers were that? No. What I said was that this game will fuel the stereotype of gamers that other people have.someguy1231 said:If you don't like this game, don't buy it. Simple as that. Without that, people has already modded the game to Hardcore porn levels of absurdity. or at least taking the assets (no pun intended) and arrange them with high levels of "creativity".sonicneedslovetoo said:You see what confuses me is this, why isn't this on PC with a Bethesda style mod framework?
That's the problem, what decides who X or Y product is meant to appeal to?WinterWyvern said:What makes me salty are games (movies, etc.) that should appeal to everyone
You have a lot of cases where game creators state their goal to be "trying to appeal to a broader audience". I feel it is these games the ones he speaks about.Yuuki said:That's the problem, what decides who X or Y product is meant to appeal to?WinterWyvern said:What makes me salty are games (movies, etc.) that should appeal to everyone
I mean some people accuse Transformers for appealing to male gaze (supposedly a negative thing), but I saw the entire Transformers franchise as the definition of celebrating every teenage boy's wet dream.
well that's just the way western society works... We're okay with extreme violence and gore (just look at our movies) but when depicting a woman with big breast or exposed buttocks, now that's just an unrealistic outrage!CritialGaming said:I truly fear for the gaming community when a game like this has to be flagged as if it is some kind of social justice violation. Why can't this simply be a game about a bunch of girls having a beach party. News flash people, chicks have breasts and when hot girls go to the beach, they tend to wear bikini, it is the way of the fucking world. Why can't the game simply exist for it's own merit without having to cower behind some kind of social outcry?
Don't like it? Don't play it.
Let me remind you that this is a Japanese spin-off game made by a Japanese studio, and Japan does not give a flying FUCK about Political Correctness or objectification of women (even though it isn't present here). They make what they want to make and what sells.
Sex sells. Hate to be the barer of the bad news bears but sex is the biggest business in the world. The world wide porn industry literally craps gold bars. If they made this game about a bunch of girls playing volleyball in the Antartic while they all wore parkas and thick wool pants then it wouldn't sell.
Leave the game alone. It is okay not to approve of a piece of artwork, it is not okay to tell others that they should not like and or make this said "art".
Not all western locations are like this though. That's just the puritans in America. In a lot of European countries you can show boobs in any hour of the day on tv and it's not made into an issue. Also everyone's allowed to be topless on every beach and it's not seen as something odd or weird or sexy.GZGoten said:well that's just the way western society works...
