Oh, I see.

Nice TV you've got there. Now you don't. Mind if I take also your consoles and PC? No? Well too bad, I want them. Kiss them goodbye.

And don't go to the police, or you'll be another raging hypocrite.
Yay.

There is a BIG difference in stealing from a person, and stealing from a huge corporation. I have morals, you twat.

Just depends where you stream it from...
how does that make any sense?
Some film streaming websites will have licensing deals with the film's distributors, either paid for by advertising or user subscription, also things like the BBC iPlayer have films on them which you can stream (and download) for free.
It's legal but the choice is relatively limited, I doubt any of the legal services will have the latest releases on them.

Technologically, there is absolutely no differnece between downloading and streaming. If you stream something, you are still making a copy of it on your computer. As far as copyright law is concerned, there is no difference, as you are still making a copy.

On this topic, I used to watch the Daily Show and The Colbert Report on their websites. But now I can't do that any more. The last fucking place they didn't block me because I'm outside of the damn States. So I reckon they now have given me no choice than to leech it wherever I can find it. So no more ad money from me. *shrugs*

And that's actually pretty much what I think about this whole piracy malarkey. They, to a degree, bring it on themselves by doing lame crap like this.

how does streaming make a copy of it? All it does is read the files, not duplicate them.

/reported for the twat part.

Also, I see little difference. So, you think that huge corporation is unaffected? Half true. Big cats at the top won't feel anything. You are just hurting the regular Joe working at that corporation, his salary might get cut or worse, they might fire him.

You might as well steal half of his salary.

It copies files to the RAM or paging file so your computer can read them, it's not difficult to save it from there.

Yup. Buffering and downloading are practically synonyms.

If I remember correctly 1 million people watched the new Wolverine movie and it's not even in theaters yet. That means potentially 1 million people who wouldn't hve seen it in theaters. There's quite a bit of $$$ lost to both the theaters and the movie studios.

Exactly, your still hurting people...

I think I'll report him too, just due to his clear lack of morals.

Ah you silly people caught in societies whims. Having one type of light refracted through your optics is no different then having a different type of light refracted. If i look at a curtain all i'm seeing is light bouncing off a piece of matter. Looking at a movie is no different. Honestly one cant own lightwaves.

You wouldn't download a car.
Maybe You wouldn't. Im not so sure about me.
Personally I would.
Then I'd Steal a Baby.
Then I'd kill a policeman.
Then I'd go to the toilet in his helmet.
Then i'd post it to his wife.
Then i'd steal it back again.
