How the hell is pointing out that the government of a certain country treats women as inferior racist?

The guy in the video is completely right about this ridiculous double standard in the US, and frankly I'm getting sick of it. I'd love to plant some C4 under the table on that show, teach people that shit won't be tolerated.

I agree completely with his argument, I remember when I heard the story. All I knew was she cut his dick off, and I was thinking he must have done something pretty horrific to get that kind of punishment. But, asking for a divorce? That's like if she hacked his balls off for saying he wanted to break up. A woman that insane doesn't deserve praise, if anything she deserves either life in prison or an execution.

Oh wow, what an impressive vocabulary he has. Saying the word "****" a lot sure makes him seem clever.

While middle-aged males cannot talk about anything without some group getting pissed off.
That's because a good few people who fit into that category try to make themselves out to be victims of the dreaded "double standards", as in "on no, the women and the gays are trying to create a society of oppression for us poor white, middle-class males by wanting equal opportunities".

Yes there're double standards in the favour of women but there are also the same amount, if not more, in the favour of men and one type cannot exist without the other.

Minus about 90% of the "fucks" this guy pretty much word for word voiced my thoughts on this issue. Things like this make me sick and Sharon Osbourne disgusts me.

Also, a side thought, women ARE weaker. Physically, they are naturally weaker and smaller than men. That's why they aren't allowed into combat situations in the military. I weigh almost 200 lbs and if I were to be hit and go down, I would want a 230 lb guy dragging me out of the way, not a 130lb woman. That's not sexist, its just practical. With all the political bantering, its easy to forget that women are indeed physically weaker than men.

That being said, there is no excuse for treating them differently except in such situations as I mentioned above where lives/well being of anyone is on the line.

Agree with the Racist part. Iran is known for being very anti-femminism and is a good example. To say he is racist for commenting on common knowledge of the country is dumb.

As for my take on the sexism issue. I don't know... For many years now I have known about this sort of behavior from women. In the last 50 years women have gone from being only house wives or very low wage workers to the most powerful sex in America. They may not hold the most powerful positions in America, but due to the media they are taught to exploit men from the day they learn how to speak. Of course some women don't do this. Not saying they all do. Though many women use their sex to overcome men and take them for all they got all the time.

They know it is almost impossible for a man to win against a woman in the justice system. They know they can do whatever they want in a marriage and come out with 50% of their husbands belongings. They know the jury will side with them most of the time. I am sick of it too.

Women still complain that men get everything better them. Therefor I believe that if women want to be treated as equals then it should be 100%. Never give them a break for them being females. Have the same standards all around and if they complain just deny them whatever they are hoping to get. You want to make dollar for dollar of man? Earn it.

So my solution? Get rid of all of those groups that support women's rights, men's rights, minority rights, and gay rights. And in their place, establish a group for HUMAN rights. Everybody has problems. Everybody gets looked down on sometimes for what they are. And to treat them separately is only treating the symptoms, not the cause. And the cause is closed-mindedness. We need ONE authority on equality, because in the end we want equality to be ONE thing across the board.
This I could get behind. A group dedicated to the protection of all people's rights? Count me in as a charter member

This kinda sums up my problem with modern feminism. People on both sides seem to confuse it with female empowerment and this is not suppose to be the main goal of it, it is suppose to be equality between men and women. Female empowerment is only a side effect of it.

There are apart of society and culture which favour women such as courts favouring mothers over fathers when it comes to child care. As well as other areas such as men being being favoured in the work place over women or objectification of women in media (however in recent times great strides have been made to equalize between the two in the that area).

Most people who associate with feminism are quick to support women's rights in areas where men have more power but do little or nothing in areas where women have more power then men to make it more equal.

The true message of feminism is equality between both genders and I support that message but I feel that message is being forgotten or confused with a different message.

Pretty much this.
It's a crappy show, just leave it at that. TV is TV, and TV is often bullcrap.

Had a much more interesting topic before, when it came to if it were okey to hit a girl if she hit you first.

What he referrers to as "this shit" frequently is a byproduct that feminists don't really like having either. It occurs because there isn't an open dialog about those "disparities" and what is repressed - the frustration of being expected to perform equally (or even above that) in society and not being compensated equally or considered and represented equally - comes out in negative double standards like the one he's ranting about.

So, yes, I agree, it isn't fair and it isn't healthy - it doesn't come from women just being horrible, which is what he seems to imply.

It is undeniably and absolutely disgusting for those women to be sitting there laughing at that mans' expense. I'm female, and when I first came upon this story my first thought was absolute repulsion; how can people mutilate another human being like that? I didn't know what the wifes' motive was, I didn't know if the man had abused her or not, but that man lost part of his body to a damn garbage disposal!

How the hell is that anything to laugh about? I can't believe the first thought that came to those ladies minds' was "what did he do to her to make her fly off the deep end?" Jesus. Could it not have been that maybe she was damn crazy and he filed for divorce to protect himself?
Double standards are everywhere, and while many times it appears men are the sharp end of the stick, absolutely nothing justifies laughing at another human being in a situation like that, regardless of gender.

It's because feminist movements, while some claim to be pro-equality, are only really pro-equality for women.
definitely agree on that, it and other movements have been hijacked for more political ends rather than what they were started for.

Not particularly, they were going to stone a woman to death for having an affair last year. A bit of a generalization about them sure, but not really ironic.

Not really. It's a country.....actually, fuck it, I'm widening the net......a whole region filled with limb amputating woman oppressors.*

As for this guy. He doesn't just hit the nail on the head.......he drives it clean through the piece of wood in one blow. Things need to change. Sexism isn't just a one-way door.

*Disclaimer - I run on certain rules. One of them states that you can't offend people if you say something true. If you are offended, you need to look at yourself instead of complaining to me.
Wow... so apparently you guys are all closet racists?

If he had said all extremist islamics are mysogonysts, he might have a point as that is to some extent what the religion preaches. But saying that's the truth about Iran wouldn't be too much different than me saying all Americans hate gays in reference to many Christian extremists who protest gay rights. Oh, and they're all warmongers. Sure, perhaps a majority of Iranians are Islamic, and perhaps a majority of them feel stoning women to death is ok, but there's also going to be a significant number of people who realise it's wrong. Putting all Iranians under the one blanket title of "mysogynists" is just wrong and racist. Th

I don't agree with him. Sexism works both ways.
There's so many differences between the sexes, a very different history, there's a lot of prejudice in the world. I'm sorry, his voice annoys me, everything about that video pisses me off.
I think what those women were doing was disgusting. It's wrong. It's horrible. But I don't feel like anyone comparing the two, because they aren't the same.
God, listening to him in the background is making me annoyed.
