Flame shield up but I think it's better than ocarina of time. Ocarina was much more influential but Majora's Mask was overall the better designed and more fun game.

Super Mario Land 2: Six Golden Coins, mostly. I didn't play console games as much back then, as my older brother held a monopoly on the TV and consoles. I pretty much stuck with my purple see-through Gameboy Color until my brother finally went to college.

I actually bought it at a pawn shop of all places, for $3.50 AUD (australian dollars), which is about 2 Pounds. The amazing thing was that it still works amazingly!

Is it just me or does EA REALLY need to dig up this old game series and remake it all awesome like for PS3?

HELLZ. YES. I in all honesty cannot think of a game that I would rather be HD-ified, or even just remade anew, with a new game engine (Geomod2.0 plz!!) and new game mechanics, on top of the original stompy mech fun and over-the-top violence that made the last game so awesome.

I'd like to say Jagged Alliance 2, but that would be a lie because my PC wasn't powerful enough. I was playing X-Com, Warlords and Civ II. I didn't get into the infinity engine games until 2002, same with NOLF and NOLF2, Deus Ex, JA2, and System Shock 1 and 2.

To be honest I wasn't playing games in that year. I started gaming in 2007 actually (and no, I'm not a graphics whore-MW2 fanboy), but if I was playing in the 2000 probably it would be Diablo 2, Thief, System Shock and/or Max Payne.
