And as a bonus

Did... did you not understand the concept of the thread?
From the OP
So lets take it back a notch, and relax. After a crappy day, what song lets you unwind?
Did.. did you not understand the concept of this thread?

Didn't know there was a universal code or set of rules that music needs to have to be able to be "chill music"

You know, instead of personal preference.

While we're quoting me:

And please, be respectful of the choices of others, I don't want this thread to be any more aggressive than the music we're posting. Debates on musical tastes are almost always exceedingly pointless anyway. =P
If someone has a different approach to relaxing through music, then not only is it totally okay to share it here but encouraged. What would a music thread be without having your boundaries pushed a little? It's all good.

The choices just might not have the same effect on me.

Sorry, just thought they were odd choices because all of them were quite the opposite of what I would consider relaxing, they seemed more like music that would get you worked up than let you unwind. To the extent that I thought you might be joking. But whatever, you listen to whatever you like, I won't stop ya.

I'm gonna add to the chilled electronica side of things.

I was very pleased to see some M83 in this thread earlier!

And some other stuff.....I could suggest hundreds of songs!

Personally, I'm particularly partial to this track:

Thanks for the ambient electronica by the way, nice to run into a couple of artists I hadn't heard before. =)

Oh yeah, that track's a stunner :)

If you're interested in where I find a lot of the artists in my post, I listen to a commercial chillout station based in Atlanta on Live365,

http://www.live365.com/profiles/mdumond?play=2

The ads can be annoying, but I've found so many artists listening to this station.

Oh, nice find. I use to listen to a couple of digital radio stations for new music as well, though given the relatively small download allowance on my internet plan it use to get me in trouble. =P I have a tendency to fall asleep listening to this kind of music.

I used to, back when I was a serious weed smoker. Nowadays, I chillout on long journeys. You wouldn't believe how important this music is to me on the 32-hour journey to New Zealand!

Heh, when I smoke weed it doesn't matter what I'm doing - I'm going to god damn fall asleep. I think chill out music would put me in a coma when combined with weed. Actually, that sounds pretty good.

Be right back, attempting to induce coma through music.
