I usually bring along a Cornish pastie in the shape of an AK-47 in my hand luggage. The airport security is always so confused and relieved at the reveal, "That's no assault rifle, that's my lunch!" That they forget to actually confiscate it and I can bring it on without any trouble. And if they do try to accuse you of anything you eat the evidence! It's foolproof.

Hmm, on every flight I've been on, the food was weird, but in a good way, I guess what I'm trying to say is, I enjoy plane-food.

Easy, air-fast food.
I said GOOD meal.

-edit- Technically, since it's on a plane, isn't it all FAST food to begin with? Wakka wakka!
What are you talking about? Fast food is the best food that exists taste-wise, if you're talking health-wise I'd agree. Besides, there's a wide variety of fast foods, can you honestly tell me that there isn't at least one that you would want as an airline meal? BTW, I get the joke.

depends on which airline.

British air and Lufthansa have good meals
Delta, however, does not.

They buy for economy.

Hey, ever notice how it seems like the dogs are walking their people? And what's up with cell phones, anyway?

They're working with restaurants to ensure everyone on the plane after 10 hours of airplane food then immediately goes to the nearest restaurant to get ACTUAL food

I take Singapore Airlines. They have decent food and a private mini-tv in coach on all of their flights (I think?)

I don't get it, is there a certain point or aspect of airline food we should be complaining about? And is this point or aspect a positive or negative take on airline food? I dont get it! :p

Sigh. Yeah, I guess you're right, as much as I long to fit in with the cool kids and say that fast food is nasty... it's not.

Actually, I have a better question: What's with all the "My Little Pony" avatar squares?

The only meal I ever had on an airplane was a can of soda with a bag of pretzels.

That was my breakfast, in fact.

A LOT of people here enjoy My Little Pony. I would suggest not hating on it, or the man-children will string you up by your virtual toenails.

OP: You know what? I've never been in a flying plane before. I'd like to be at some point, but alas, I never have. If I do, I'll be sure to eat nothing more than candy and soft drinks for ten hours. My teeth will hate me, but my stomach won't.
I don't hate it. Hell, I watched quite a bit of it when I was a wee lad. Just wondering though.

Airline companies are led by the evil Doctor Feng, who desires to take over the world by causing riots, leaving the police forces of the world occupied as his robot army conquers all continents. By having bad food, customers become irate, and we take one step closer to Doctor Feng's global dominion.

I have a line graph that proves this.

Airline budget cuts.

Since 911, business has been bad for airlines, so they have been cutting where ever can be cut, and food has suffered more than it already had up to that point.

Depending on the airline, the food isn't bad. I have flown quite a bit, mainly in my youth when I summered 3/4 of the country from where I lived, and I never had a bad meal until my Father ordered me a Kosher meal... God that is the only airline meal I didn't care for...
