It's time to find another forum for us to go...

I don't get this. Do some people only ever go to one forum at a time or something? I go to dozens of forums. I don't just go to one and stay there until something happens and then find a new one like it's a house or something. You can still go to other forums that you enjoy more while simultaneously coming here as well. This notion is baffling in general.

I have yet encounter another forums that is on the same level to this one (well to its former glory).

I get put off from registering another forums due to its badly web design layout, having tirival forum features like "signature", poorly moderated or have a boring/ toxic community and disintereting topics (well ok that is a rare gem to have today).

Just to be clear, I meant more on a offtopic sort of forum since that is when I comment the most on. Anime and gaming forums can only hold my interest til I finish watching that anime or games.

In saying so I haven't search for another site yet.

I usually just read threads to not draw heat on myself from people I know I wouldn't want to talk to. I admit that I had difficulty seeing the same people act friendly to others (who all shared the same opinions and tendencies) when I saw what they wrote a few posts ago.

Ah. Yeah I heard that about Dischord as well. Basically a version of Facebook Messenger. That's a shame. Worse comes to worse, you can create a subreddit. I think the Escapist has one, but who knows what'll happen when this place goes. Do you think they'd shut down that subreddit for the sake of brand completionism?

That won't be necessary. We have three potentials listed in the OP. Soon, I'll make a poll and we'll vote on one as a backup forum.

Is Neopets still going? Maybe I will go back there. That is basically where I started with hanging out in forums.

(Not that I was...I knew what I'd find, but still....yeeesh)

I never really got into the Neopets fad. I wasn't even aware there was a legit forum over there.

OT: I've always been more of a lurker than anything else, but I've always enjoyed this site. It's got a fairly close nit community and while there's some bickering, it's nothing compared to the usual internet toxicity. Hopefully it continues on for a while since it's really the only forum I read regularly.
