Believe what you want?

My grandparents are pretty heavy Christians yet I'm still a strong atheist. Don't let anyone tell you what to believe. Make your own choices

Tell your parents that you're afraid Zeus will punish you if you worship false gods

Do whatever you want, even if you do get confirmed it's not like it will mean anything to you.

Of course if your family is rabidly religious then things might not go so well for you.

Just grin and bare it.
If you can't manage that, gently break it to them while still enforcing that this is not right for you.

Don't do it if it's something you don't believe in. Just explain it to your parents and hope that they understand. They don't have the right to force you into a particular belief and if they try to force you to go through with it then they're in the wrong, and I'm pretty certain that it's illegal, or at least frowned on. It's your life, and it's your choice. That's it.

This. This a million times, and back around again.

Or, instead of Zeus, say Khorne, or Slaanesh..

Or the Flying Spaghetti monster.

Do what you honestly feel. If you don't believe in god, don't confirm for the sake of it. Your beliefs shouldn't be influenced by your family's religion.

I'd brake it to your parents. Make a poll out of this and see what people say

Why not just go through with your confirmation ?
It's not like you're betraying your beliefs, if you don't believe in God, then it shouldn't mean anything to you.

If it was me, I'd abstain from confirmation, but honestly it depends on a few factors: how strongly you disbelieve in Christianity, how religious your parents are and whether you want to please them or yourself.

You have a right to stand up for your beliefs; no one should be pushing you to do one or the other, so the decision ultimately rests with you.

Tell your family you are an atheist and cancel the confirmation. If they love you, they will understand. If they get angry, they are placing religion before you and you should get the hell out of there. Atheism is your choice and they should respect that. If not, they aren't good people, and even their god doesn't tolerate that.

what is a conformation?

yeah, I am sorry, I am raised with my own choices to make, and the deal was "do whatever you want" or "sacrifice your sunday"

I don't know what a conformation is either but you could go just go through with it and continue in believing what you want.
