Most of those that I actually have seen on your list I didn't like, apart from Pulp Fiction which is one of my favorite movies.
Namely:
The Godfather
Scarface
Schindler's List
Rocky
Ghostbusters
That's right, I didn't like any of those. (actually Ghostbusters I thought was alright, but nothing special) That's not to say I couldn't see the objective greatness of The Godfather and Schindler's List (Rocky, Scarface, and GB, on the other hand, I consider to be mostly average movies in every way) it's just that subjectively I found them all extremely boring. Actually, this is the same for most 'classics' I am referred to. It's quite similar to how I dislike most 'classic' games.
Things age; and most things age badly. Movies (and especially games) are no exception. One of the most annoying things in the world to me is how people cling to nostalgia or a desperate need to be accepted by the indie-crowd of whatever medium they enjoy by following others blind nostalgia. Most forms of entertainment that were good 10 or 20 years ago are not good anymore because everything they did has been copied and done better. This is a sad truth, but a truth none-the-less; and one we must accept. Saying something was good "for it's time" is nice and everything but what actually counts when trying to enjoy something is: "is this good by today's standards, allowing me to enjoy it as much as I would have way back then?" if the answer is No, the movie/game/whatever isn't good anymore.
Rocky, Scarface, and GhostBusters would ALL get merely average-good reviews and a very small fanbase if they were to be made and released today, and I don't even think they would have any kind of cult followings either except perhaps Scarface. This can be said about a lot of 'classic' entertainment.
Movie snobs can go ahead and pop out from under their rocks to call me a troll now. =P
