Meh, If you took my favorite food and called it "The puss filled revolting turd lasagne of death and pestilence", it'd still be my favorite food. As long as it tastes cool, the name wouldn't bother me. And I doubt they'd advertise this as the Turd Burger x]

Shit itself is stuff the body doesn't need/use. So eating it is pointless, as it'll provide no nutrition or anything.

Indeed it must have no nutritional value at all - clearly the scentist is lying and the nutritional value chart the scientist just drew up and showed to us is false.
Most creatures digestive systems (including ours) are far from perfect so actually loads of nutrients are left in poo, hence why its good for plants and microrganisms.

I think its a really good idea to be honest. In times of famine it would be an excellent way to get a bit more nutrients out of the food we eat. Id definately eat it.

You might want to clarify for those who don't watch/read/have a brain that it is NOT made out of poop. It's made out of protein from bacteria for which poop is a suitable environment.

But still.. i dont think its any easier for people to get out of their heads that it comes from poop

I dont suppose anyone would mind explaining how this would solve s humger crysis if it is priced at the same price of normal meat, plus it has to go through a rathdr long artifiial process to be made. I think in the case of a food shortage, ill hucnt a dear and get the real thing... For free

Well tbh, i was thinking more on the food shortage side of things, but if i remember correctly, he said it would be sold/marketed at about the same price as regular meat, thats not how much it costs to produce if we were giving it away to poorer countries or something, costs could always be driven down if people really wanted.

I'm wondering if this would have applications in space. Think about it:

- If you're in a space station, you'll eat whatever mission control arranges to send up.

- If you're doing actual space travel, this helps solve the "where do we get more food?" problem with the "Have to dump all this waste" option. Also the "vaccuum toilet broke... what now?" problem.

- 10 to 20 times the cost of other meat right NOW is probably cheaper than what it costs to launch more food into orbit.
