Anyone remember their history classes on the Oregon trail? Two words: Buffalo cakes. If settlers are willing to eat the processed feces of their own buffalo, then I think this would be feasible to some people.

Yeah, they used it for things like heating the home and such, cause it was good to burn and burned for a while. I dont htink any of them ate them, or at least not consistently and widely enough to be advertised as right and healthy.
