aside from all the obvious problems with Duke, it also managed to be utterly boring.

Completely outdated two weapon system and boring narrow hallway levels with shitty bosses.

There's just no excuse for the game.

I saw Duke Nukem Forever coming a mile away, but what rape is he talking about? I played that game and saw no rape. I saw topless women who had panties on trapped in some kind of alien slime piles or something, but it was no different than what was seen in Duke Nukem 3D. It was just better graphics.

Also, he forgot inFamous 2. That did come out this year, right? Let me check. ... Yes, it did.

Well the reason inFAMOUS 2 isn't on here is because this is a worst games of 2011 list not a BEST games of 2011 list

So let me get this straight. DNF is the worst bit of entertainment this year because it is a poor example based on a decade old standard, but Skyrim is awesome because it regurgitates the exact same garbage Bethesda has been pumping out for the last decade. Hypocrite much? I seriously call bullshit on this one because really DNF is arguably the 3rd best traditional FPS released in 2011 if people can get past the whole "Always hate on Duke" motif that continues beaten into the ground long after the joke ceases to be funny.

And where is the mentions of Dragon Age 2, Brink, Bulletstorm, Rage, Child of Eden, From Dust, Mind Jack and dozens of more worthy candidates. If you can have a top 5 worst and not mention any of these titles I call bullshit because any one of those is worse than at least one that you put on your list.


So What I propose Jim, is stick to what your good at, and find a way to bring back Lisa Foiles if we need another top 5 list cause honestly she was better at it, and MUCH easier on the eyes regardless of gender or orientation.

Amazed that Mindjack and Venetica didn't make the list.

I don't know about Mindjack, but I think I know why Venetica wasn't in the list.

Mindjack, objectively, is one of the worst games I played last year.
Saw it, got it as a rental for free because we rented two other games.
I still felt ripped off.

I didn't play Venetica; I've heard of how awful it is, and even if it were worse than Mindjack, Mindjack would easily still be the #2 game on my list, at absolute best.

It completely freezes the console at random intervals. (This is not unique to the PS3 version, as I found out later)
The gameplay is broken. The AI is worse than EraserBot for Quake 2.
The dialog and story is PAINFULLY stupid, self-contradictory at times (more than just the intro, which was rightly featured on Unskippable) and bland when it isn't being stupid.

And multiplayer is some of the most unbalanced shit I've ever seen (I've played a LOT of shooters in my 20+ years of gaming. This has some hilariously bad ideas even at the conceptual level. Nevermind, I can't figure out how they made it into the final cut).

Mindjack deserves all of the hate it got. I'd say it deserved more, but that would mean more people would have to play it, and I wouldn't wish that on anymore.
