I'm an English major. I do useless things.

I'm told I'm rather intelligent, rational, and logical, as well as a good leader. And I have a few years of training in construction/civil engineering. Perhaps I could lead a rebuilding effort.

Well Some of my skills that might be usable or adaptable that I have utilized and been paid for as a vocation?

Agriculture
Hunting
Fishing
Trapping
Cooking
Leatherwork
Farming
Carpentry
Welding

EMS/Dispatch
Minor mechanical and electrical engineering
Emergency medical - EMTNR
Triage
Navigation and Cartography.

Manufacturing
Upholstery and sewing

Computing - Too many jobs to count, including building for others for profit.
Computer hardware/software repair (lets not kid ourselves, There is no apocalypse scenario that exclusively prevents computers from existing and remaining as an important function, even through EMPs)

Well, I work at an optometry clinic, so at least people will be able to see. Mind, I'm not an actual doctor of optometry, but I think I could bullshit my way through it.

I'm a musician/writer. So basically fuckall. I'd be useful in keeping morale up and seding messages, especially if I live long enough for a second generation, which would almost defintiely be uneducated, but that's about it.

I don't think I have anything which can help. However, I am a quick learner, so I could help if someone wished to train me.

I'm a journalist and webcomic writer. So my post apocalyptic job would probably be "Emergency food source."

I'm decent at drawing and fairly good at writing, so maybe I can go out and map the wasteland while keeping a daily journal.

I'm a train driver. So i'd be the poor bastard who travels to different parts of the country, loads a train up with stuff, then drives it all the way back to "Escapistopia."
Plus, I used to be a martial arts instructor, so I could teach people how to kick someone in the nads and run away.

Though ideally i'd like to be a farmer. That way I dont have to kill anything and i'm useful to society.

I film things... I will document what is happening and then rely on firefighters to save me! D:

Not much I can do survivalwise yet... I'd love to learn how to live off the land though.

and no, before you ask, personality, individual skills, etc etc do not count in this. merely your career skills and training.
Well, I haven't finished uni yet, so by your standards I'd qualify for a job as the town drunk. The 2 years of Biomedical Engineering wouldn't really count towards anything, as it's not complete.

And not sure if my time in the army would amount to anything as I've just quit.

OT and without silly restrictions: I'd probably take up a role as a support engineer or something to do with software if available.

I've got basic first aid skills, that's about it.
So I guess that sets me up for being a lackey for others with actual useful skills.

I have skills in camping, how to trap small game, and how to work with steel. I'm good with a cutting and welding torch. I'm also proficient in the use of a machete and in krav maga. I'm sure I can of some use...

I'm good with animals, capable with firearms and considered to be good with people, so I'd probably make a decent livestock handler/counseler.

Bartender, so apocalyptia will be easier to endure with perfectly served drinks. Although I'd probably just drink all of my stock and end up being cast out for being a drunken arse.

well, i can play drums, so if drumset makes it through the apocalypse, then ill be doing the evening entertainment. aside from that i am pretty good at teaching for 3 years now and reasonably versed in different teaching philosophies, as well as someone pretty good at writing and drawing, so i guess documentation and literature could be choices too. so yeah, teacher i shall be, i guess, of course, supposing we still follow the same sociological structure in the aftermath as we do today.
