I'm a software developer... so, I'm useless... I'm a decent shot, though...

Unemployed, but I do volunteer at a Ronald McDonald house and am currently taking an EMT class.

I plan on being a spaceman.

Well, I'm an able writer (or I like to think so), but such a skill would mean nothing under such dire consequence, unless of course I wrote stories as a means of escapism for myself and those who could care to listen or read. More practically, I'm useless; though I can lift heavy things, so that might come in handy.

I'm a fire-arms expert/collector(I am a antique dealer so yes it counts), biologist(in progress), limited medical training, and a lifer(furniture store/antique business).

My current job's pretty useless, but I did train to be a baker, and I've got a rockin' veg patch in my back garden. So if you want some tasty cookies, cakes and pies, I'll be around.

Oh, and I can brew beer too. Just sayin'.

Right, Programming and Multimedia qualifications/skills rendered totally useless then :p

I suppose I'm more or less useless in that situation, I have slight experience in a bunch of things though, so I could probably be an assistant to a hunter, carpenter, engineer, chef or guard
Or I could take a more menial job like gathering or scouting.

And I can make fire from pretty much anything... that might help to begin with.

I know my way around computer hardware.

I have semi decent cooking skills.

I have good writing skills so I can help teach English and grammar to the younger ones or the 2nd "escapitopia" generation. I could also write stories to keep others entertained. Yea I wouldn't be of a lot of help, but education is important!

I'm a computer technician. Long as the world isn't devastated by a global EMP of some kind, I'll fix your shit and allow you to browse the halted Internet forevermore!

Well, I haven't finished uni yet, so by your standards I'd qualify for a job as the town drunk. The 2 years of Biomedical Engineering wouldn't really count towards anything, as it's not complete.

And not sure if my time in the army would amount to anything as I've just quit.

OT and without silly restrictions: I'd probably take up a role as a support engineer or something to do with software if available.
Sorry mate, was more about your actual job and career training then individual skills, if i included mine i would have survival-ism, writing, psychology, guitar, blacksmithing (no jokes) and marksman ship, among many other useful skills. However, i just wanted to see where everyone would be if they only used their career skills and training (university training is for a career, even if you aren't employed.) should have specified. sorry.

Professional Reproducer.
Line up ladies, we're doing this for humanity. ;-)

I'm still studying at the moment so I don't think I could be of much use career-wise, I doubt the first thing we'd need as a barely-functioning civilisation would be a poorly made computer program.

I'm studying to be a lawyer so I suppose I could use that to help craft new laws and rules (not the shit we have now of course) for the society. I'm also a good marksman, hunter, cook, and computer tech all of which come, at least partially, from school training. I'm sure I could find something to do.

Oh and I have a Business Admin degree too. I could run the local store if all else fails.

Call center customer service/sales rep.

When power is restored and you get your first bill, you can call in and whine to me about it. I'll then explain why your overpriced bill is valid until you threaten to contact the FCC and hang up on me...and we all lived happily ever after.

I'm pretty sure I'm the only one here with this skill mentioned so far:

I make my own fucking beer.

Beat that.

Screw your shelter, screw you medical knowledge, screw all of your fancy real degrees (and mine).

I will be making fucking beer, and I will be drinking it about as fast as I can make it.

Boo-ya.

Eh, it's fine... way I see it, if there is an apocalypse, my job skills will be useless. But at the same time, it is an apocalypse, the last thing I should be worrying about is my job that doesn't exist...

Well, I have taken a few college courses of chemistry in high school, and plan to go into that when I get a job. Does that count as career training?

If so, then... I dunno. I could do chemistry for you guys? Gimme some chemicals. I'll see what I can do.
