Seth glanced at Aden as he sat down, not sure if he was willing to try his flames in here of all places. He understood all too well the history of mages before, who were rumored to use blades. Just because he could make a flaming tornado didn't mean he couldn't be stabbed through them.

"Aden Ignaeus, and Seth Darius. Two pyromancers with a very interesting history, and that is just talking about one of you." The Prime Minister said, shifting his gaze between the two pyromancers.

"Upon hearing of you, my guards stated that I would need them in this room in order to make sure you didn't attempt anything dangerous. But I know you are not some uncivilized monsters that scorch the earth clean. You are just as mortal and human as myself and my people are. So, I start with a very simple question, and the same that I will extend to all the others. Would you be willing to come along with me to my city to assist with some tasks?"

Seth watched the Prime Minister carefully, his gaze as even as Aden's as he did so. Upon hearing the question, he shrugged indifferently. His heart probably would have done a couple backflips to finally be out of this place, but he knew better than to play his hand.

"I would be willing to come along, but I make no promises regarding your....tasks." Seth said simply, not bothering with niceties or formalities, which was as close to usual behavior for Seth as one could get.

"I'll come along. If only because you've managed to persuade or force these others to come. But I'll be watching you, Minister. Every step of the way. One step out of line, and you'll see what we really can do."

Not very subtle, but it got the point across. Aden was in no mood for playing games.

"Was there something else, Minister?" He rose to his feet, a display intended to put the Minister in his place. He was not the one in power here, not the superior. He was a supplicant.

Fei put her hands behind her back as Seth went off. She hoped that he could come on the trip so she would have someone else other than her brother to talk to. Not that there was anything wrong with that.

Upon closer inspection of the other mages Fei recognized Raven. She wrinkled her nose and stepped to the other side of her brother. The Nightshade was not high on her list, and Fei hoped that she wouldn't be on the trip. Hopefully the fact that -she- was on it would discourage her. The light mage looked like a far better companion.

"Are you going to go on the trip too?" she asked Alexander, noting that he had been talking to Seth before he was called in.

The Prime Minister rose as well, and appeared to be ever so slightly taller than Aden, though looking at the two men it would appear they would be at the exact same height with two different types of power existing between them. Seth seemed to not even notice the display, standing rather quickly, somewhat surprised that it was so effortless to get out of the city.

"That is all I needed to hear, Pyromancer Aden. It is great that this actually went so smoothly. I will be honest in that I was sure that you would be giving me problems over even suggesting people to come with me." The Prime Minister said, a odd grin on his face.

"Thanks for the offer, Minister. Looking forward to the flight. Sure it will be interesting...." Seth said, and with that took a quick few steps outside of the room with Aaron opening the door with a similar grin on his face.

"Alright, so, how many we got left out there?" Aaron asked as Seth stepped out of the room. "Ah, I know. You, you, and you, for good measure. I want you three to try this out next. We will see how this works out and if you will get this done as quickly as the Pyros."

Aaron had pointed at Nydia, Raven, and Cale as he had spoken, hoping that it would continue as quickly as possible. Delays were something he didn't like in another land, and this pyromancer moving rather quickly raised his hopes he wouldn't be here all day like he might have thought.

"Possibly, would really just depend on if they will let me keep in touch with my family. If they do I don't see any reason to not go really." Alexander replied honestly.

"Though with the rate everyone is going through the interviews, I guess they don't have many restrictions."

Aden stepped out quickly, eager to be out of the presence of the Minister. He rubbed his hands together as he left the room, feeling a rather intense desire to immolate the whole place and be done with it. Bastards have children here, though. He seethed silently, every bit of his focus for several seconds on not setting something or someone on fire. He took a seat and rested his hands on the armrests, gripping them so tightly his knuckles turned white.

"They probably already had us specially picked out." Fei whistled, sitting down. "Maybe they think we're all super mages!" She put her arms out for emphasis. "Or maybe they just picked us randomly..."

She looked at the two exiting Pyromancers, waving to Seth. "Are you coming with us? Are you? Did you say yes?"

Seth couldn't help but grin big as Fei took off faster than any flame he could create. He nodded as he walked back over to his old spot next to Fei and Alexander.

"Well, of course I am coming along, couldn't let you go off and be a super mage without me. That just wouldn't be any fair or any fun." Seth said, sitting down with a sigh.

"Went a lot faster than I thought it would. Why did it take you guys a bit longer? I mean, seemed I walked in, went yeah, and then stepped out in half a second."

Maybe I had missed something in particular? Or they were more inquisitive and unwilling to leave here....that might be the trick. Haha...Now that I think about it, maybe I should have raised more concerns than "I hope this task isn't stupid."

"He told us about his wife~ He said she's a princess! I want to meet her." Fei's eyes were starry as she imagined something out of a fairy tale. "He also said that we could leave whenever we wanted, and Drew asked him some questions, something about how much he knew about us, and then the Prime Minister said that he had files on us, and that we were different than what our files said so he wanted to meet us, just to make sure and to get to know us, but I'm sure they don't know everything about us, like everything we can do, but he knew our parents were merchants, and he said we could even visit them before we left!" She would have talked more had she not run out of air. Theoretically she could have breathed through the water she had in her body, but things like that tended to slip her mind. "I'm glad you're coming to be super mages with me and Drew!"

Aden looked at Fei, thought about rebuking her, then thought better of it. She was a child. An idealist. She'd never seen the petty cruelty of Humankind before. He managed to even his voice, restrain his anger.

"Just don't get too excited. Remember this won't all be fun and games."

Seth thought he had caught all that Fei had just said. It had been kind of fast for him, but apparently there was information on them all, and that the Minister had a wife. He thought that was everything. Then Aden spoke up.

"Come now Aden. What would we have her do to prepare for what is coming? I don't know what to expect any more than you or anyone else does. Maybe we will get a chance to do some tricks and then get paid for the work, and then go were we want." Seth said, looking over at Aden.

"Maybe you should go out and let some flames off. I know that my fight was quite enjoyable, maybe head to the arena or something and let some heat off."

Seth was not totally blind to everything. He was well enough aware as many other pyros that Aden couldn't stand "people", and that he was probably going to start torching things any minute if the oppertunity presented itself.

Here is to hoping he doesn't do something stupid and get himself in trouble. Or try to start something with the guards, cause I bet they won't care what he does, they will probably grab him and throw him against a wall or something....

"Right! Not all fun and games." she puffed her cheeks out. "I bet it will be a lot harder there. I'll have to practice before we go! And... oh... the other guard... he mentioned dragons..." It just hit her what dragons meant. "They aren't going to make us fight dragons are they!?" The Academy was alive with legends of how the Masters had fought things like dragons, and the masters before them. It was no stretch for her to think of dangerous beasts that ate young mages like popcorn. "I'm not that strong yet! I can't fight a dragon!"

Seth scratched his head at that. Fighting dragons did not sound like a particularly good idea. If that was the problem they wanted some help with...well, he wasn't sure what to think of that. Having not fought any dragons himself, he wasn't sure what to expect but.....it would be something.

"I would certainly hope that dragons are not what they are up to. In that case, they have much bigger problems to be grabbing all sorts of students apparently at random." Seth said with a shrug.

"But I'm sure you could handle yourself well enough against a dragon Fei. I mean, I think I might be able to handle it, so you could probably do it too!" Seth continued reassuringly. He wasn't quite sure how effective water would be against something like a dragon, but....it was probably still great defensively, if it was a fire breathing dragon.

"But you don't worry about dragons. Sure they have a plan against them if they are here. Would be kind of late waiting this long to fight dragons."

"I don't think they have that in mind for us. If they did they would have just asked the masters for help. No, they probably have something else in mind for us. What I have no idea." Alexander replied to Fei.

While she was waiting for her turn for... Whatever was going on in the other room, Nydia had closed her eyes and meditated for a bit. With all the had happened the past few days, her mind was in a bit of turmoil and the peace that emptying it even for a moment brought was incredibly helpful. The conversations around her were little more than background noise, but after a bit one voice in particular stuck out to her. "Ah, I know. You, you, and you, for good measure. I want you three to try this out next. We will see how this works out and if you will get this done as quickly as the Pyros."

Nydia opened her eyes to find a man with a mechanical arm gesturing towards her, Cale and a Nightshade girl. It seemed that he wanted them to enter the room Seth and the other Pyromancer had just left so Nydia quickly got up and went in. She found the man she had conversed with briefly at breakfast. "Ah, a pleasure to see you again!" She said with her usual polite smile and bow before taking a seat in one of the chairs in the room. "I suppose this is what you meant when you said we would be talking somewhere a little less crowded?"

As Seth and his buddy re-emerged from the large room, Raven found a finger pointing at her to step through the double doors of doom. She got up, along with another guy and...ugh...a Lightdweller. She could recognize one from the all too cheerful demeanor and bright robes they determined they had to wear to drive their holier-than-thou attitude right into the brain like an annoying javelin. So I'm going to have to be stuck in the same room as one of these people while finding out my fate. This just could not get any better, could it?

Raven slowly got up from her seat and followed after the Lightdweller into the room, three chairs set up in front of the man that such a big deal was made for at breakfast time. Ooooh, so the high muck-a-muck himself is going to speak to us. I feel so honored...not. Keep grinning like the wolf you are, preying on the sheep. You don't care about us. I don't buy it. She took one of the seats available and put herself as far away from the Lightdweller as she possibly could without attracting too much attention.

Sorry for not posting in a while, got kinda busy.

Cale stepped forward after the mechanical man had addressed him and Nydia but also someone else as well. He looked to see that another mage had been sulking nearby. Then upon further inspection it turned out to be a night shade.

Cale was wrapped in thought and wonder on what was in store in wherever they were going and as he sat down in one of the seats available he kept on trying to keep himself focused on what was at hand but instead day dreams and wonders crept back like many times before. Then he noticed the sound of a chair being arranged farther away and no surprise it was the nightshade.

Those nightshades are sure funny... Cale thought in his head. Cale looked back to the Prime Minister as he held the meeting wondering what he would say.

The Prime Minister smiled and nodded as Nydia greeted him properly. As he swept his gaze over the three, his grin seemed to get even wider as he looked everything over.

"No need to be too formal, Lightdweller Nydia. This is indeed what I meant when I said we could converse somewhat more privately. Of course, it couldn't be totally personal, especially when Aaron decides to play games while doing this." The Minister said, his gaze not wavering.

"Now...before I begin, I would like to know if you are all willing to come along with me to my home and assist me with a particular task. Then you may ask whatever questions you please, and I will answer them the best of my ability."

Aaron, stepping in behind the three and closing the door scoffed as he was mentioned, but overall kept his silence. The two quickly exchanged an odd look, but then went back to business.

Nydia had been expecting an invitation to Kerbones, but now that it was actually being presented to her she found herself indecisive. On one hand she was eager to learn more about the mysterious land of Kerbones. But on the other, it was a bit intimidating to think of leaving the island for the first time in her life. On top of that, it would certainly interrupt her studies and leave her elderly father here alone. It was a difficult decision that she could not make lightly.

As she thought, she glanced at the other two who were with her. The Nightshade seemed to have placed herself rather far from Nydia for some reason. Nydia had only seen the girl once the other day, so she had no idea what she would do. Cale's decision, she was quite sure of though. The way he had rushed to greet their guests and the excitement in his voice when he spoke of Kerbones made her certain he would go. Well... At least I won't be alone. She thought as she looked up at the Prime Minister. "Very well. I would be glad to go. As for your task though... Know that I cannot do anything that may disgrace the Freecs name. Not that I suspect you of anything though." She said, refraining from any questions until the others gave their answer as well.

Raven listened to the Minister's confirmation of her assumptions, although this whole asking deal was a bit hilarious. Wow, you want us to willingly give ourselves over to you, is that it? Figure it will be easier to do whatever you want if you get our permission? What are you trying to play at, asshole? These sheep may be blind to the obvious, but not me. I'm not falling like that.

Raven leaned forward slightly, the hood now shrouding her entire face as she made a move to speak. "You really want us to agree to leave this place, come with you to some far off land, and assist you with some task you're not even willing to define to us, and not only that, you want to do it with our permission? Why should I agree to this? What possible incentive do I have to just throw myself in with your...lot and put my fate in the hands of a human I don't even trust?" She knew the word human was a bit much, considering that she was basically one of them with a slight upgrade, but the distinction was there, and she wanted it known to this man that she was not pleased with this whole situation.
