"If you say so, Lord Drew. Hope you'll excuse me, but it is more fitting to be formal, especially for a guest favored by Lord Edgar." Alice replied, leading Drew down the hall through another door towards what appeared to be another strange orb. This one was not in the enclosed room like the previous one. It seemed pretty much to be just part of the scenery, sitting next to a wall, in a room that almost seemed...unremarkable.
Of course, that only lasted until some of the statues in the room seemed to shake off some dust, and then seem to go out on a patrol. Alice sighed, and then gestured to the ball, releasing Drew. With the questions, she simply began smiling.
"The Lord Edgar keeps busy enough peering into this place, keeping us busy. You can be surprised how much there is to do when there is just a tiny bit of...organization. Routes to keep, things to do, things to eat, prepare, watch out for....it all adds up. I am interested to see what this will bring about though, as I do not think Lord Edgar has ever managed to recreate what you are doing at the moment, which is quite the feat. And when it comes to the rest of the world...it helps not having to survive all the time..." As Drew inquired about her, she lightly traced his arm.
"But what about me? And the others? We're very good at keeping to ourselves when we want to...or keeping to others when the mood strikes us. And as for the thief...well, we should have done something with him a while ago. But, it seems to have gotten you here, so its not that important, is it?"

"You are a very silly man, Lord Alexander. I will be nearby, even if you are not...quite as interested in my company. I imagine you'll change your mind, as books are eventually going to get boring. You act as if I need some form of entertaining, when I've been here for such a loooong time. But, if you do want to push a girl away like that, I understand...for now." Jade said through the door, obviously not fazed by Alexander's move into the room and closing the door.
"And talking at the room makes you even sillier. Are you sure you don't need the company?"
In the meantime, the Shadow Alexander looked about the room, opening a drawer here, behind the drapes, and other such areas. After the short examination, he sat at the bed, gazing about. With the string of thoughts, the shadow glanced at the door, and then replied.
"Retreat? I don't think it is a time for such an activity. We are hardly in a position to retreat, let alone myself. If you are going to be fighting out here, I might as well linger. Besides, reading a book and watching the room are two things which will not be done at the same time." The shadow thought back, his gaze focused on the door.
"I feel as if there is more at work in this land than just survival. Lord Edgar doesn't seem like the kind to survive and amass. He more seems like the type to...go. Do you think him trapped, perhaps? Or perhaps charged by this place? I can...feel the elements. They almost seem to live here, somehow. What of the book? Anything to note?
The book itself seemed to have a first chapter talking simply of what the book was going to be about. A summary of sorts, but the second chapter seemed to be a bit more into the landscape, and how it was seemingly able to completely go against itself. Snowfields next to volcanoes, the destroyed being perfect on the inside, or vice-versa.
However, there was a small side note apparently scribbled in the book on a few of the pages. Writing about how sometimes a nearby gate or door could effect the area around it, making it starkly different from the rest of the world around it, either in what creatures were around, or how the world around it reacted.

As Raven once again drifted close, Seth found his gaze locking with hers. He wasn't sure about the action at first, as he was certain that it was supposed to be some kind of uncomfortable, but she seemed to want the closeness. In fact, she drifted even closer for a moment, practically breathing her words at him. While the arrival of Cale was an interruption to the somewhat...intimate moment, Seth was almost happy for it.
"Well...I guess that answers that. Though, I wouldn't believe the luck for a second...And I guess we'll continue how much...control I have later." Seth whispered to Raven before going to conversing with Cale more loudly. Though, as was recently noticed by Seth, Cale seemed a bit more off than usual. Maybe it was the world messing with him? And...why was he here?
"Edgar, and a thief? I hope that the good Nydia wasn't left alone with the man...And Gabriel, who...well, not sure what he'll do, but I don't like it." Seth replied, now trying to gauge Cale being there now. It obviously wasn't that dangerous around here....or the spirits had cleared a path maybe? Maybe more likely Cale was a bit more bloodthirsty since getting here. Odd thought, but valid all the same.
"Energy with the castle too? Well damn, I guess we didn't discover all that much. Just...well, a lot of wildlife, some nice flowers, and an interesting lake. Overall pretty boring...course, Silvana had a bit of a meeting with the spirits, but I'm not sure how talkative she'll be about it. But at least you got us rooms, which is a different plan than I had of sleeping in the woods, or those burned out houses. Unless, of course, you think we're not doing much better inside? Cause with a thief inside, and some random man named Edgar who's been here a while isn't inspiring confidence here. Rather stay by the lake..."
