JUST BOUGHT THE PS3

YEAH!!!, i went to buy a 360 elite (to replace my old 360) and well... i asked "what´s the difference??" "there is no difference aside from color and space"

damn... i thougth "why would i buy the same console again!?"

then i saw the ps3, and i asked the guy "how much??"

well, good thing i saved money, i had enough to buy it and 2 games (and the HDMI cable and the movie "the dark knight")

i am so happy, it feels so natural (the first console i bought with my money was a PS one)

soooo, i ask you fellow Escapists, can you tell me of wich cool games i could buy for my ps3??

i just bought MGS4 (i had to, i´m a fan boy) and the Killzone 2 (i heard it was good), any sugestions?? i love any kind of game, but i prefer to stay away from FPS (seing i already bought one) also, try to avoid games that are also in the XBOX, since i probably already have them in the XBOX

Aside from LittleBigPlanet, ignore all of the previous suggestions.

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune is great.

Ratchet & Clank Future is a wonderful, fun game.

Infamous is a must-play, if not a must-own.

Oblivion: GOTY edition if you don't have it for PC.

And don't pick up Fallout 3 yet, as the GOTY edition for that will be released in October, with all the previously-unavailable-to-PS3-owners DLC expansions.

Depending on how old your previous 360 was, that was a lie. The video card (I believe it was the video card) was changed in newer ones and really helps prevent errors from occurring, as well as running cooler. Plus, if you were buying it to replace the old one, wouldn't you want the same console?

How much is the PS3 now? I remember when I looked a couple months back it was still more than the 360. Although, this could be a local thing. Also, wouldn't you already have all the cables and some games from your old 360, so you wouldn't have had to buy all new ones?

Time Crisis 4 (If you have the kind of set-up that can accommodate standing and shooting at the screen from the recommended distance)

For what you can buy it for now, HAZE isn't bad for local multiplayer and some online.

Heavenly Sword (More worth it since the price has dropped)

Resistance: Fall of Man and Resistance 2 (I know, FPSs, but still, amazing games)

Devil May Cry 4

WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2009 (Again, I know it's also for 360, but still, if you don't already have it, GET IT)

As for non-game-related things, consider getting the tiny keyboard the clips onto the controller. It's nice for text input and using the web browser. Also think about getting a controller charging station, since you can't charge the controller unless the system is on. Not necessary, but nice to have.

Ah, my friend you have made a good choice, the PS3 is a reliable black beast (yes i just quoted Yahtzee but it's a good description) that won't let you down, and if it does the customer support is way better than the 360's (I had many bad experiences with them) Its got some great games for it like Resistance 2 (amazing team BASED shooter)and Gran Turismo 5 Prolouge (It's a racing game if you've been living in a hole, it is a glorafied demo but its cheap ($20) and will last you a while) to name a few.

the PS3 looks like it has a bright future ahead of it with many tripple A titles like M.A.G. (Massive Action Game), Modnation Racers, and the full game of Gran Turismo 5.

All these games I recomend to you, and even though you already have a shooter, buy Resistance 2, it has a great story for a shooter, it has addictive gameplay, and the online component is great.

Now everything up to now is an exclusive but lets get down to some non exclusive great games.

First and foremost, BUY THE ORANGE BOX, it is an amazing game weather it be on the 360 or the PS3. I found no differences with the two except the PS3 version has a slightly different TF2, you have to push to talk, and there are no user made servers, but its doable. And MOST of the lag is gone which is great.

If you want a non realistic racer then get Burnout Paradice, it is only $20 but it has a massive world and has downloadable content pouring out of its ears. It isn't very realistic but it is very fun.

Rainbow 6 Vegas 2 is still fun supprisingly, so that is one to get, its cheap too.

I found Dirt to be a good semi realistic racing game, if there was a scale, 10 being complete reaism and 1 being the latter, its probably a 7.

If you want a RTS, End War is a nice game, the voice controle is spot on, although the game itself is a little frustrating at times.

For a RPG Oblivion is amazing and the GOTY is only 20 green

I would NOT recomend Socom Confrontation though, it is way too hardcore, pretty much if you havent already played it from the start them you'll get steamrolled.

Well... i didnt knew that, its just that i thought the Elite had other things aside from the regular ones, i actually wanted the red one (that came with RE5) but they had ran out of it.

mmm... it was worth about $700 dollars (7490 MX pesos), i had saved about $900 dollars my old 360 didn´t had the option to plug in a HDMI cable, it just had the green/blue/orange cable so i had no HDMI cable and i have always wanted to have all 3 consoles, now i do!!!

and i bought the PS3 more or less because of the exclusives and because i love blu-ray movies

i love those kind of games i have finished any game that you have seing in arcades in that format (YES even Revolution X)

Go buy Ratchet and Clank Future: Fools Tools of Destruction. It's a great platformer with various funny,yet powerful guns (one is called Penguinator,guess what it does),tons of humour,and brilliant quality. R&C is the only series that make me intrested in buying a console. And FYI,sequel (R&CF:A Crack in Time) comes out this fall.

You could also try inFamous or LittleBigPlanet - both are pretty good.

Well, it'll play your PS1 games, but unfortunately, in order to cut the cost of the system, Sony gutted the emulator that played PS2 games.
