Not to be an ass, but this says more about how easy it is to make passable ambient music than anything else.

Also, all positive reactions a result of expecting crap (beiber) and getting something okay.

Not true, this wouldn't work for most other pop stuff out there. Bieber actually chose a great key to sing in, and actually sings on pitch, and THAT'S why it translates quite well.

Also, no. All the positive reactions come from the pleasantness of the sound. It's a bit like Sigur Ros, except more restrained and ethereal (I can't believe I just said that).

I'm all for giving it a chance if it's good as Ambient music, but I despise the Disney Tween-Pop genre as a whole, and refuse to have anything to do with it otherwise.
