The Bieber must DIE! Why does that goddamn kid keep appearing everywhere?! Guess his policy is leave no fertile land unsoiled, leave no product cool.

Those screams...I think we've found a new weapon to combat the vuvuzelas.

OT: Seriously an ad? Was he even on the stage at least or did his manager bring in a boombox and placed it on a stool?

Despite your feelings toward Bieber, it's pretty foolish to not admit that this is a *great* marketing scheme by MS. Although he has no shortage of haters, he still manages to remain intensely popular (and, strangely, has a much more solid male fanbase than most would like to think). There will no doubt be a spike in sales. Oh, and, just a side question, how old is this writer? He sounds to me like he's somewhere in the 20-30 range, which makes his apparent hatred for Bieber all the more pathetic. You'd think that someone that age could find something more productive to do than bash a 16-year old kid, no? Maybe that's just my intelligence talking, though. That darn brain of mine...

*looks over at red-ringed 360 that's been like that for ages* Yeah, I was going to consider replacing it or getting repaired, but... Microsoft haven't really been doing anything for me lately, I'm much more excited about the PS3 and the better directions Nintendo is going in now.

What's that? Justin Bieber promoting their new product? Well let me just light my console on fire then... They somehow thought this was good taste?

As pointed out on Feedback, it's ironic that the serious gamers and journo's were shown Kinect at E3 and none of them are the target audience.

OT: Oh, and who the f*ck dresses Bieber? Because they seriously don't have a clue.

I hope he tries to read the German version of the manual.

Man, that'd be funny.
German? No, no; they don't have that word in America...
Nope, no sir we do not. We don't much care for the word German or Germany. They don't exist as far as we're concerned, in fact we're denying the existence of this country entirely just like they are within the time period of 1934 and 1945.

When we refer to that horrid place we call it Deutschland and them the Deutsche.

[sub]Nothing against you, I just really wanted to get that out of my system. I haven't made a bad joke in three days... it's horrible. And now I'm back to not caring about what Microsoft does. They could hire anyone and I wouldn't buy the Kinect, not until the price drops or good games come out. The potential is wasted as far as I am concerned.[/sub]

I don't have a 360 and even if i didn't my mind was set on not buying the Kinect, now i'm locked in a state of mind that tells me "Microsoft has hit a new all time low for consoles. Don't touch anything they ever produce in the future!" Their name is now eternaly soiled if you ask me and they will go to hell for this, accused of making Halo and contact with Beiber.

I played the video to see how bad the marketing attempt would go, but my eardrums got blown out about 2 seconds into it.

Also, this just proves who Microsoft wants to sell the Kinect to.

So, in essence, THIS is the audience they expect the Kinect to target. The young fangirls. The casuals, through and through. This is who they expect will pay the 350-400$ for a Kinect, and a new 360 to go with it. Or more accurately, whose parents they expect to pay for it.

Somehow, I doubt this will be the winning success they think it'll be. Targeting the casuals? They already have a Wii, thanks. Targeting their parents? They're saving for college or retirement, shelling out 400-odd dollars because 'Justin plays it, so I have to have it' may fly with a percentage of that crowd, but not a large one. Targeting gamers? Seems if this thread is anything to go from, that crowd hates the Bieb with a passion.

So, tell me, Microsoft... how exactly does this product placement, albeit in a kinda cool intro for the man, help you at all? And for that matter, how much did it cost you to get it put in there? This is like Activision's 'Look, Eminem!' party at E3. It's awesome to say you can do it, it's awesome to do it, but explain to me how you justify that expense when it doesn't actually stand to sell games.

As if I needed another reason not to buy this piss-poor 150 dollar waste of Microsoft's development time.

ALL GLORY TO THE HYPNOBIEBER.

Just kidding, I don't care either way. He's not gonna make me want to buy something, and he's not gonna make me say "Ew! Bieber likes it!" I don't plan on buying Kinect either way, because it's pretty silly.
All Hail the Hypnotoad..... He does not want to buy Kinect so do not buy.
