K.D and you

Simple Question: Whats your kill death ratio or ratios?

Longer Question: Do you care about it?

My K.D for Bad Company 2 is 0.76 and I'm not too bothered although lately I've found that I'll be getting a K.D of 1 in games or higher so that makes me feel that I'm getting better at least.

I like it to be higher than one, but it's not like I'll abandon objectives or rage quite when it starts to drop.
But greater than one implies that you're better than average.

My K.D ratios tend to be higher in COD than they do in something like Halo.

In most COD games, my K.D. ratio is around 1.60-1.70, while in Halo it tends to be around the 1.30-1.40 mark.

Plus KD has more to do with your teammates than anything else.

Normally between 1.1 - 1.2 thought I don't really care for K/D, Win - Loss Ratio is more important to me as I love to play Objective games now as if I die more than others but win so be it, Though to be honest winning isn't that important either as long as I don't feel like I personally am holding the team back.

Those are the only two I've played recently that tracks K/D, so those are the two I know off the top of my head. It isn't that big of a deal, though. I try to keep a very high win/loss ratio, however.

My kill death ratio floats around 1.2 in most games, accept Bad Company 2, where it's .93, and Black OPs, which is a shitty, random, game.

On average I'd say mine is 2.5, it's that on every COD, Halo, Lost Planet, Gears of War, and most other things. I've noticed it's less on objective based games like Battlefield and Team Fortress because I'm not playing for the kills. My highest (and where it actually matters) is Unreal Tournament 3, it's like 9.1 in deathmatch.

I don't care about it too much, in any objective game mode it's useless, I think they should remove it completely in those types of games and replace it with objectives/deaths ratio or something. In deathmatch game modes I like to keep my deaths low and kills high to ensure that I win, so it serves some purpose there I suppose. Although it doesn't necessarily mean someone is good, they could get 6 kills 1 deaths every game through camping, while other people with a lesser ratios contribute more even though they give the enemy a few more kills.

Offhand, I believe my Reach k/d was about a 1, give or take a couple hundredths. My Gears 3 beta k/d was 1.3.

I really don't care about my k/d ratio. If I'm at or above a 1, then I'm fine. And if I drop below that in a match, oh well. Everyone has a bad match now and then. Just gotta move on. No point in getting too worked up about it.

Usually around 1.9 to 2.0 in Call of Duty. In CoD4 (my main FPS the past 3 years) I'm sitting at 1.94, although it would be much much higher if I played TryHard all the time (M16/MP5). I dick around with dumb weapons too much to maintain a really high K/D, even though my skill level is easily high enough to sit at 3.0 if I actually cared.

I think my KD in black ops is about 1.27, but i run the most obscure play styles and weapon choices. As for other games, MY BFBC2 KD is slowly approaching 1.00, it's about 0.99 at the moment.

So I guess I don't even care enough to check what it is.
