Keyboard or computer typing backwards...?

Some backstory first. Hopefully it will help decipher the problem:
I got my computer almost two years ago through Newegg. It was brand new. It was a Black Friday deal that came with a keyboard and a mouse and the keyboard is pretty cool; it has volume control and shortcut keys for when you use the interwebz and stuff. It took me a couple of months to set it up and once o did, I noticed that whenever I typed, my sentences did not make sense. It's been doing that ever since back then but I've been moving in and out of places ever since so I just thought I just hadn't installed something properly and that once I hook it up correctly, it would work. But now I know that's not the case.

So let's say I'm trying to type the following sentence: "The dog runs across the street". If I try to type it, it would probably read something like "street the across runs dog the". The cursor moves back to the beginning of the sentence for no reason! And I could be miles away from the mouse and have it unplugged and it still does it. Sometimes it will allow me to type one or two words that make sense, then boom. Beginning of sentence or a space between paragraphs. It also likes to type things for me in the search bars so for example, if I type "How..." And then a space, it will decide that I am looking for, I don't know, "Howard Hughes" or "How to operate a jackhammer" or something random like that. It doesn't matter what program I'm using; it will do it every single time...although for some reason, with Notepad, it does it less than anywhere else. It's still an issue, though.

This is a desktop, not a laptop so it's not the touchpad that's the problem, like people have told me. I have run antiviruses perhaps thinking something is wrong with my computer but nothing has come up. I have tried plugging the keyboard in different USB ports and nothing. I'm about to head out and buy a new keyboard but I doubt that's the solution. The computer is perfectly fine, except for the fact that I can't type anything (I'm typing this from my phone).

I'm not very computer savvy. I e tried looking online for solutions but apparently, mine is an isolated event or something. Anyone knows how to fix this?! It's driving me crazy! Thank you in advance.

I imagine there is a fault with the keyboard causing it to trigger some combination of keys that bring the cursor to the start of a line when the space bar is pressed. If it was triggering down and up it could cause that behavior depending on your current text layout and that could also explain why it is selecting the first suggested search when you press space - triggering down would select it and the space would confirm. You probably need a new keyboard.

I don't know what you mean by that, because this problem seems to be so pervasive that it was one of the first autocomplete options in Google. Most of the answers seem to be for laptops, but this one here is for desktops as well

Oh my dear glob, it WAS the keyboard!

It sucks because the bundle I have had a cool keyboard. Hopefully it will have some sort of warranty. Thank you so much!! I can finally sleep well tonight!

Right, well what I meant was that while it seems to be a recurring issue, what they call jumping cursor, the cases mostly apply to laptops. That's why I mentioned the issue would have nothing to do with the touchpad, as most laptops who have this issue are fixed when something is done to the touchpad; I forget exactly what. I did look for desktop-related problems and the few I could find said something like Run an antivirus and see if that works! But it didn't. Other than that, I didn't find much.

That and the fact that I was trying to use my actual computer to find solutions. That way, I could test out possible solutions asap.
At any rate, it was the keyboard so now we know, I guess.

Huh ... I was going to suggest trying buying a new (cheap) keyboard to test that, but then I found the other alleged solution instead. Good to see the problem was solved anyway.
