Hi, i'm 15, and i'm begining to see a pattern developing here. I hear alot in the media about how i'm either a danger to society or an obsessive-compulsive psychopath. Neither of which i can see being true and indeed doesn't apply to most people i've met. (Yes there are people like that but i hardly see how age comes into it). I've been told i'm too childish to take anything seriously, and too young to play a game in which something morally reprehensible is happening without getting dramaticlly influenced by it, which is a remarkable contradiction in terms.
My complaint is this, i'm mature enough to take the arguement itself seriously, and smart enough to work out that game logic hardly applies to the real world, i've in fact never seen anyone who has, apart from isolated cases brought up the news, from kids who were clearly unstable before and who were given a game that they really probably shouldn't have by their parents. So why is it the media is allowed to get away with such irresponsible generalisation without being caught out by someone about it? Why has it gotten far enough to actually become an issue?
