Arrogance. It's the one thing I can't stand. Examples:

1) I'm better than you. Even if you are, who cares? If it makes you feel good, fine. Don't tell me, because I may have to troll you.

2)I'm the only player that matters. Typically exhibited in game modes such as Domination, Search and Destroy, etc. Play Free-for-all if this is your objective.

3)What you do is cheap, but what I do isn't. For example, in a game on estate I used 1 RPG round at the start of the match. Sure, it got me a quad-kill, and I'm not proud of it, but hey, it was one of those days. Another player sent me a message at the end of the match accusing me of being a "f***ing cheap n00b". I copycatted him the next game, and he was using:

M16 w/ M203
AT4HS
Claymore
Stun

Scavenger Pro
Danger Close Pro
Commando Pro

No word of a lie. Aparrantly the AT4HS isn't cheap as it only carries 1 round (scavenger much?). I only used one round. WTF?

Wow, this was pretty bile-y for my first ever post. :( Sorry, I'm not always like this. Promise ;)

Those idiots who need to not play the game.

I mean, i go 42/7, and we still lose at TDM in black ops.
What the hell!?! I earn 70-80% of the kills, and my entire team does nothing but suck and die!

I dont want to be mean about this or anything, but people that bad shouldent be allowed to play the game online. Is it to much to ask for a team that doesnt die? I can get every kill for us, and i can capture every point if the game mode calls for it. As long as they dont suck and die, id be happy.
Of course, playing a game offline is very different to playing online.
Human players are normally a lot harder to verse than programmed AI.

AI tend to not move in non-humanlike patterns, jump like crazed baboons, swap weapons every second, throw genades at random sections of wall, etc.
Playing online sometimes requires you to re-learn how to play a game.

For instance, I've only ever played Halo on multiplayer with my friends (I don't have an Xbox), so I'm used to playing against very good human opponents (My usual friends are quite obsessed and so I have to strain to keep up, whereas I'm one of the better players when I play with other friends).
When I tried playing online with another friend one day, I was able to play fine.

Then, on the other hand, I own RE5. I've played that game to death and back and I'm pretty good (If I say so myself - shooters aren't really my thing).
Then, playing online with the versus and slayers modes, the maps are re-arranged, the weapons are randomised and hidden; it's a whole new game and you have to handle it differently.
I haven't really played it that much, my internet usually plays up when I play online (though we have a new router so I'm gonna start getting into it a bit more), so I'm not very good at it.

Sometimes it just takes a bit of time. Not always everyone has hours and hours to spend playing a game to become uber, sometimes they're just trying to explore the bigger sections of the game.

The guys that are racing to vehicles after spawning, and speeding off with it instead of waiting 5-10 seconds for others to join, those things are made 1) for squad transportation 2) to fight effective in a team, (gunner, driver, MG or flak).
Damn em all.

"Medics" in Battlefield Bad Company 2 who don't heal or revive. Sure, in the beginning you don't have the items, but when you get them, USE THEM.
The ones who just use the kit as their own personal healbox and not for anyone else? Yeah thems annoying, they may as well just pick another kit like...

Recons who don't use the Motion Detector. It's free points if any enemies are killed near one! WHY DON'T YOU BOTHER THROWING THEM YOU SNIPING GIT!

I only really play, so enjoy a massive rant about it.

- Gunslinger defenders. For the love of god, minisentries are totally boss and all, but that does not mean you should use them instead of a level three sentry. Seriously, it is just painfully dumb. And using the Wrangler with it does not make everything better. The only thing that does is make it even easier for the Your Eternal Reward spy to come up and claim a new identity.
- As a rule of thumb, I dislike Knightdemo's. Bad ones will targe charge forwards while devouring Natascha's discharge, try to slice open a Pyro who's just giggling while throwing them all around the map with air blasts, and ignore pipe bombs no matter the situation, often leaving you to die against the soldier who rocket jumps away from the sword and hands them crockets in return. Mediocre ones will collect 2-3 heads before hidding in the base forever bceause they don't want to lose the slight speed/health boost they worked so hard to scavange.
- Blind faith medics. "Oh, I can't walk through this full health Pyro who called medic but isn't spy checking? I'm sure it's just lag." I've seen a Medic Kritkreg ubercharge a freaking spy after that spy had been ignited by a Pyro and keep the charge aimed at him while he Ambassador'd the shit through half our defence's.
- Survival is more important than victory! This covers many classes and attitudes. The Medics who'll run from a fight because they've got 50% uber. The Demo/Soldiers who leave level three sentries standing because they want a better k/d ratio. The engi who never sets foot outside their base to build teleporter exits because they wouldn't have the protection of their sentry for 20 seconds.
- A pile our bodies is sure to help! On the other end of the scale, there are the spies who run towards enemy pyro's. The scouts who try to take on two heavies because the double jump will save them. The Soldiers who rocket jump over every step of the map so they get to the fight with 10 health. And of course, the heavies who try to slowly inch around corners into level 3 sentries range and try to destroy them single handedly.
- Surely my only failing in this plan is persistence. They just keep doing the same thing. Knifing into a Razorback. Taunting after every kill, regardless of the situation. Making Sentries that face the wall because, and I quote here, "No big deal, they turn around anyway." After all, every plan they have has to be a winner if they die enough while attempting it.
- I was being healed? Seriously, if you have a medic on you, Pay Attention To Your Medic. Listen to their voice commands, keep an eye on their health, and if they stop healing you, ensure they are alive.
- Here's my personal favorite. I can win with any weapon, daddy! I'm not saying that you should never use the backburner or the direct hit. Hell, I've had a lot of fun roasting an attacking team or selectively shooting with rockets, but they are situation weapons. The Direct Hit does nothing against large groups, particularily those with a medic. The Backburner will do you a whole lot of nothing against the soldier who is more than a metre away from you. Your Eternal Reward will not help you when most of the enemies base has sentries restricting you. The Dead ringer will not help against players who can think. And of course, the wrangler is a clever spies best friend.

/rant.

I hate teammates that kill me on Halo Reach to still the tank.
Happens to me too often. I rush the tank with Sprint, because I can use it. (Most people go WHEEE I'M INVINCIBLE Then boarded boom die. It's actually quite fragile.) So I got in the tank, and this guy stands on top of it facing the cockpit. He then proceeds to melee the hatch off, causing superficial damage to the tank.. then melees me to death. And steals it. And then minutes later gets exploded. So frustrating.
You should get the option to boot his ass from the server. Why didn't you?
Sadly the hammer is temperamental about these things. No option came up, even when he killed me a second time later in the game. It's one of Reach's flaws, the booting. I can't boot the teamkiller for stealing my tank, but sometimes people boot you for legitimately killing them on Infection and the timing between sword and shotgun making it a betrayal.. somehow.. and then booting.

I hate the ones with microphones :D
This basically sums up my feeling on teammates too. If they're one of my real-life friends, I'm more than happy to talk to them via the mic but if I don't know you, I'm not very likely to take orders/smack-talk from you, in fact you've probably been muted.

Alright I play Black Ops, and I play with a friend a lot, and we have our own system so that we have each others back. We both have the second chance perk so when one of us goes down the other can revive them.

Now when I'm not playing with him and I get shot down, there is one team mate near me and there are no enemies around and he won't help me out.

Another teammate I hate is when I'm playing zombie mode, the people who just run around aimlessly and gets in the way more then they help out.

I hate it when a Medic in TF2 has 100% Ubercharge, gets shot at, and rather than make both of us invulnerable, turns and runs like a pussy.
He probably figures you wouldn't stand still long enough for him to use it.

OT: The "teammates" I hate are the ones spend their time camping...when your on offense. Such as in Search and destroy matches where you have to plant the bomb and they just run into the nearest building. He might as well be dead by this point, it wouldn't make a difference.
The Medigun follows the person you're healing. All he'd have to do is right click and bam, you're both safe.

Human.
Co-operation deteriorates after initial successes.

Great for taking the piss when gaming though. Awesome getting together a band of regulars and seeing how strangely or un-conventionally we can complete a challenge.

That's assuming you can hit him with the first one. Seriously, I've only put six hours (and don't plan on ever putting any more) into that game, and already i've lost counts of how many retards with almost no health at all ran right by me, the medic, and into the room guarded by 3 fully upgraded sentry guns.

Young people suck as teammates. I don´t care about you´re gaming skills, i DO care about you´re social skills.
This might just be me, but I take offense at the number of people who say thigs like this and 'You shouldn't play online below the age rating'.

Online I don't hog weapons, don't trash talk, don't make out I'm gods gift to Search and Destroy and don't bug older players by butting into conversations. I'm generally quiet in a game and respect the other views of players (don't go 'My plans cooler I'mah go do dat nao!').

Sorry, just seeing this AGAIN made me want to get out of my system.

Anyway, The only player I truly hated was one who kept on charging 'A' on MW2 when it was at 20secs > and then put his mike in and Bawled at us in the lobby after we lost. Two enemies were at Alpha and we were worried that Bravo would be destroyed too, ending the match. We had already tried a mass attack on A, which failed so we decided to dig in.

Sadly the kid was younger than I was (I'm 14) and knew too many expletive that his voices pitch said he should so I just left the game and recieved 3 messages of voice, bawling at me again.

In short:

LLEEEEEEERROOOOOOOOOOOOOOYY JJJJEENNKKIINNNSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In long:

That pain in the ass hatfuly known as Leroy Jenkins.
Seriously, when you spend the whole 5 minutes between matches setting up a Blitz Krieg esc combined arms assault utilizing heavy infintry with supperting snipers and medics, perfictly timed vehicle thrusts, and high presision air strikes and orbital bombardments, all while highly mobile strike teams sneak around the back to disrupt supply lines, kill reenforcments, capture spawn points, launch diversionary strikes, disable the enemy's support structures, and cause general disarray; only to have some dumb ass repeat the whole plan on the "say all" typeing message, or an idiotic squad leader sending his men to far ahead (resulting in the enemy building up their defences in preperation), or if your commander (who REALLY shouldn't have gotten the job) isn't paying attention and drops an air strike, bombardment, or emp burst (or all three) on the assault's spear tip (or the reenforcements) resulting in an instintanious lose of morale, confedence, organization, and momentum.
And don't get me started on how said people can fuck up your "in case of _______" type plans!

And God help you if all of the above problems happen to you in the same match.

*sorry about the rant but such an evend JUST happened to me*

Someone who is crap at the game but blames the rest of the team for not winning.

Someone who is stupid and steps in front of teammates and therefore their line of fine, not only that but they get teamkilled and then file complaints when clearly the TK was their own fault.

Somebody who is not willing to learn. When an experienced player goes to the trouble to point out something stupid your doing that is hurting the team and then you go and do it anyway. That really pisses me off.

People who play music over their VOIP. Guess what dickhead If i wanted to listen to your shit music I would go listen to it but when im gaming I don't want to listen to music unless its my own.

Also People who camp when we are supposed to be attacking. Sure you might have got a kill but while you waited there for 3 minutes you could have done a lot more in that time.

Finally, people who go AFK and don't spectate or disconenct. Not only are you stopping people from joining the team you are wasting a spot on the server.

Well the obvious ones (incompetent, irritating, or plain obnoxious players), but the one outside of those that really gets to me is the "It's just a game" guy. You know, the one that enters as a random matchmaking result into your team of friends, and whenever you're desperately asking for help, suggesting mildly complicated strategies, or getting upset at a teammate's failure (never raving mad or anything: these are friends, after all), this player tries to assure you that it doesn't matter because "It's just a game." This is the guy that will not even try his hardest to help the team win, because after all, it's just a game. His entertainment is more important than helping the team. That irritates the crap out of me.

But the thing about it is, you shouldent be that bad at a game.
If you even played the single player you should know what weapons do, and you should already know your going to die if you sprint into the open.

Theres no excuse for going 3/18.((an accual score some of the randoms i play with get)) I mean, before my mom moved to california, she tryed playing Black Ops. This was her first FPS ever. She could barly walk through doorways right? But she still went 8/13. You can run around spraying and still do decent.

Theres no excuse for going more then 10 negetive. :/ Its about not dying. Thats all i hate. When they die, the enemy gets killstreaks. When they get killstreaks, we die more, because nobody but me has the sense to equip a launcher.

Its the sucking and dying i hate. I just played a game where i was goofing around with the snipers ((which are significantly weaker then before)) and i still went 16/9.

Moral of the story, dont die. Thats all i hate. I dont care if my entire team leaves. id rather go 1v8 then have to sit through a stream of airsupport because my team doesnt know there are sights on theyer gun.
