ok, so i started a topic on this yesterday and got nothing of too much use. SO IM BACK FOR MORE! I've seen some things on youtube (as we all know can be extremely unreliable) and talked to a few people, friends, game clerks, etc. (known to be LESS reliable than youtube) and none seem to be able to give me any kind of information about the third installment in the kingdom hearts series. Can ANY of you kind people help me?? Kingdom Hearts junkies UNITE!!!

Everything i've heard or seen has been extremely sketchy, so i've not idea what to tell you about this. From what I gather, they're going to make a Kingdom Hearts prequel that does not include Sora, but the other three guys. Thats all I know, i'm afraid.
I think what you're describing there is "birth by sleep" that's coming out for the PSP and follows Ven (who looks ilke Roxas), Terra (some dude who looks like Squall and Zack) and Aqua against some creepy old man who is wearing Xehanort's Heartless' clothes and ... something.The Blind Prophet said:

There are no official announcments for the actual third game.
Two games are coming out either this year or next, one of the DS and one for the PSP.
And I totally agree with Hamsterlad. To many of my friends that are fans of it say Axel and Roxas are gay... even if they are, why do so many people care??!?!?

There will be PSP, cell phone, and DS games. DS game is about Roxis between KH1 and KH2. PSP game is about the "keyblade wars" apparently(introduces back story characters). Cell phone game is about... something stupid. All three are used to set up the back story for KH3 which is still covered in a big mystical veil. They are kind of like the next Chain of memories. I think most of the Youtube stuff covers the PSP sequel part and calls it KH3. Really nobody knows. I might be wrong, but this is my impression of the confused mess.
Dont worry about if you look at the amount of time from KH 1 to KH 2 its probably not going to come out untill about 2011. So I wouldent worry about it much untill then. But its suposed to follow some group and the "keyblade wars" or somthing

KH3 is definetly coming out. i have found a cut scene from reliable square enix and disney websites. it involves sora donald and goofy walking to the field where the big battle between ven, terra, aqua and the bald guy (Xehanort) they see terra just standing holdin a keyblade starin at da ground. he starts talkin and sora pulls out his keyblade. it waqs all in japenese so i hav no idea what he said, but he was not actin friendly. then some battle music started playin and terra got into a battle stance and then it ended.
As for the bald guy in the KH3 trailer, he is supposed to be Xehanort. but, in the scene in KH2 when there is a flashback where mickey tells Ansem about the dangers of the research, Xehanort is really young! weird, the KH3 trailer takes place 10 years b4 Sora and the gang. but the flash back takes place after that. i have heard that the bald guy is NOT the actual Xehanort. for instance, if the Heartless of Xehanort is dead, the Nobody of Xehanort is dead, so the regular Xehanort should be dead. They mentioned he lost his memories. so, could those memories have created a whole new Xehanort?
To clarify, An extracted heart creates a heartless, A soul and body creates a nobody, Extracted memories create a ???????

My guess is that mickey gonna run in and fight and probly own this "Xehanort" created by extracted memories. the thing about birth by sleep is that why would Roxas be in Twilight town with Axel at the top of the bell tower where Roxas and hayners gang hang out? Another question i have is when was twilight town created. i thought twilight town was created for roxas to hang out in til Namine finished fixin sora up. Also, Yen sid isnt actually Yen sid in KH2. He is really a heartless. God knows how he didnt kill sora and the gang. He also warned sora's gang about the heartless and nobodies.
My guess is Axel and Roxas never go to twilight town as buddies ike some youtube videos show. One more question, WHY doesnt roxas remember his days in the organization? ill post more info when i find out.

Ok So let me clarify most of what I am gonna say is fact and canon. Oh and also yay 1st post I was drwan in by 2 things I saw a thread involving flaming and a thread about KH ( my 2 great passions)

It has been stated that all members are playable. There is also a 14th member a girl named "Xion" who's fate has been described as "Brave but tragic" and she can also use the keyblade for an, as of now, undisclosed reason.
Lastly KH: Birth By Sleep the PSP game which is set 10 years before the First game. The main Characters are NOT Sora, Donald, and Goofy. They are The 3 apprentices of an unkown keyblade master, Namer Ventus, Terra, Aqua. They have been tasked with findind Master Xehanort and his apprentice, beacuse their disappearnce foreshadows a terrible calamity. It has been Stated that their will be 3 diffrent paths to play in the game in each one you will play one of the diffrent Keybladers. Also there are new enemies called unbirths.

KH3, I think, is in production. I remember seeing a trailer of it in a flat desert place with thousands of key blades stuck into the ground, with this White warrior Nobody? carrying two keyblades scrolling about majestically.
Either this was a highly detailed dream or was a trailer on X-play.

Seriously, I have no idea what the hell Kingdom Hearts is supposed to be about, two games in and I'm confused, then they go around with a bunch of "keyblade wars" and "birth by sleep" and a bunch of other crap, IT'S SO FUCKING CONFUSING!
.....that said, I love the game in general, it's just that the story completely started getting crazy in the second game.
