So far it's glichy as hell (360). Characters popping in and out of dialog screens, landscape rips and textures don't know where to go. Character models are so so during interactions. Far worse than anything I've seen in Skyrim.

If they fix it up, it could be a fun title. I want this game to do well.

Equipping items should be an option from the loot menu pop up. Also, trying to aim spells sucks!
As for the bugs, the demo is like a couple month old builds and they said that they couldn't get many of the bug fixes in it from the Final build.

As for the magic... It just goes at who ever you're targeting...
Did I miss that there is a target button?
Just push your movement key/thumbstick towards a baddie and you target them. Same goes for swords, daggers, and bows.

I went into the demo having never heard of it before and I was pleasantly surprised.

The combat feels like Fable: TLC but vastly improved. The levelling instantly reminded me of WoW though, the skill trees follow Fable's 'three skill' logic but they aesthetically look like WoWs. The Reckoning mode reminds me of DMC and GoW, with Kratos-style finishers! I like it, it's a nice blend. The lore is sounding interesting too, can't wait to discover more.

I'm not too thrilled about not being able to remap my cast spell button. I'd rather block with my right mouse and cast with Q. I was wondering through, is it just me or does blocking force a swap between secondary and prmary? I ask because I have remapped a majority of the keys and it seems that everytime I use Q to block I swap between my secondary and primary. Also after reading that it's supposed to be open world, I felt quite penned in within the environments much like Fable did.

I was utterly unimpressed.

The combat system was just mash x until you win, with no thought process necessary. The graphics weren't good and the game only uses like 1/3 of the screen.
Don't know what game you were playing. I was surrounded by 7 enemies and let me tell you, spamming attack did not do me any favours. I was playing on PC.

Combat struck me as Fable with depth. Towards the end of my demo I had unlocked some staff tricks, and they added some variety to how I handled groups.

Note for anyone playing: Hit a guard. You'll have a good time.

Played the demo today and thought I would throw in my two cents:

Presentation: This is a demo that feels like it was made about five or six years ago. The character models have that 'cartoonish' WoW feel to them but unfortunately also have similar polygon counts leaving everyone looking blocky and dated. Environments look better but are littered with invisible walls (even on the lowest ledges) leaving a FF 'corridor' taste in the mouth. Voice acting is okay but suffers the same fate that befalls nearly every RPG not made by Bioware; that of irratic quality from one character to the next. Music is atmospheric, if a little generic.

Gameplay: The easiest way to 'recommend' the game is to say "if you enjoyed Fable you'll enjoy this" the combat almost feels copy-pasted at times. Looking at the locked combat options does hint towards a deeper system, but for the advertising to say 'ground breaking combat' is hyperbole to say the least.

Story: This is a game with a reputed 200+ hours of gameplay so an hour and a half of demo isn't even going to scratch the surface. You're the chosen, sorry, fateless one... and so on.

I was really looking forward to this game and maybe that has coloured my judgement, but from this demo the vibe I am getting is that this is Fable with all the charm removed and replaced with content.

And no dog.

Played a tiny bit of the demo, didn't like the fact that I couldn't change the movement controls from WASD to arrow keys :(

I had some time to play part of the demo just now, it plays quite fluent.
Looks like an interesting game for me (fantasy-RPG) and the best thing is: downloadable with Steam XD.

The menu looks deplorable though. Takes forever to find the right category, equipping an item and then try to back out of the menu. Hope they'll improve this eventually.

Have to wait till february though before it comes out, after that seems like a nice time-waster untill ME3 arrives.

I like the combat. I feel there's some cool emergent gameplay to be had there.

I hate almost everything else. The story succeeded in making me give zero fucks about it, the camera and controls are godawful, the amount of cinematics at the start is too big, the enviroment and universe is too generic and the game lacks atmosphere. If this is consistent at release, it's not gonna get more than an 8/10.
You can criticize all you want. That's your right. But how is an 8 a bad score by any means?

Just played it, found it pretty lame. I'm just walking around slaughtering everything, this could even be easier than fable 2. Story is boring, as well as the visuals and voice acting. This game failed to engage me what so ever.

Have to agree with the presentation flaws. It felt dated.

Combat definitely has some parallels to Fable. But after reaching level three, the melee started to change with talent purchases. It also felt a lot less "mashy" than fable. The talents seemed to have a little more impact. I was talking this point over with a friend. Aside from other problems the demo faces, the fundamental issue is that it's an RPG. They chose the beginning of the game as the demo, this meant that they couldn't show off any real depth in the combat. The demo might have had more impact if the audience got a taste of what was shown in the trailers.
