Holding hands just makes me happy to see. Other displays of physical affection, i.e. kissing/light making out, bothers me regardless of gender pairings though. Or I should probably say it embarrasses me. But I'm fully aware that this is my problem and I fully support people's right to do so.

Up to a point. Groping, serious making out sessions, sticking one's tongue down one's partner's ear, etc, etc... Please don't do that in public. If you're going to dry hump each other please find some privacy!

No, personally I'm a fan of PDA. Though I may be alone in that. Nothing excessive, but a little making out never hurt nobody. Holding hands is great as well.

No one I've been with likes PDA though. But I even like seeing it from other people (regardless of sexuality). It reminds me of my own special person, and it gives me that warm feeling inside.

It only "bugs" me a bit because I'm not used to seeing it. I'll definitely double-take, or maybe even look away out of instinct. No disrespect intended.

Doesn't bother me so much as I take note that "Heyyy this is different then the norm I'm use too!!". I suppose it is kinda uncomfortable but the longer your around it the more normal it seems.

I find all public displays of affection unsettling. I am bugged more by a same sex couple, but that is probably because I am much less desensitized to it. I also find it a little weird when two dudes start making out.

"Does it bother you when someone not of your sexual orientation shows affection for their significant other?"

Yes.

"Does it bother when someone of the same sexual orientation shows affection for their significant other?"

Yes.

"Why?"

It's very unappealing to me and I'd like to not see it.

"Does showing affection in general bother you?"

Depends on how far the 'affection' goes.

"Should it just be restricted to areas away from the public?"

Yes. Because I'm evil. Muwahahahaha!

No, doesn't bother me at all. They're having fun, and their not hurting anyone. Good for them.

We should let love be free for everyone, it helps spread the happiness.

Kissing in public is completely fine. I say this after being at numerous party's and watching everyone kiss everyone. I personally only kissed the girls (guys do not taste nearly as nice) but still, it doesn't bother me.
Dumb question: If you've only kissed the girls then how do you know how the guys taste?

What do I think about public displays of affection? Regardless of sexual preference it always wierds me out a little. I also find it very rude when people are so oblivious that they block hallways and staircases, etc... because they are too engrossed in making out to notice that they are complete douchebags and don't realize that there are other people in this world besides them. Arghhhh!

Just don't stop in the middle of a walkway right in front of me to "show your affection" and we'll all be like Fonzie.

It annoys me if they're all over each other and you're trying to have a conversation with one of them. Also if one of the people is someone you dislike. Otherwise, not too annoyed by that kinda thing at all.

Kissing is fine up until a certain point. I'm usually quite tolerant of it, but if they're in a busy public place and really getting into it >.> It can get a little weird.

Because I only kissed the girls at that particular party. I have kissed guys before.

I happen to be a straight christian guy, and honestly yes it does bother me if I see two guys, or even two girls making out. Course seeing a guy and a girl makeout doesnt necesarily make my day, but its really not that big of a deal.

If I had the power to, and im sure this will confuse alot of non christian people, but I wouldnt outlaw homosexuality, (although I would probably make it so that they could have unions with all the same benefits of marriage except for the actual word.) And before you say, "Thats unchristian like" or even, "Thats not a big deal several churches think homosexuality is ok" first off, the reason I would do this is simple, when the creator made us, he gave us that beautiful gift of life, that gift of choice, sure he wants us to follow the laws he laid down, and he hopes we do, but he gave us that choice to do things that he disagrees with. If we had been made to be his slaves and always agree with him, that wouldnt really be much of a life now would it? Just because I disagree with you doesnt mean I hate you, tolerance is the foundation of the nation I live in. And second, no, you CANT be a christian and a homosexual, either you follow all of the bible, or you follow none of it, its that simple, so no real church allows it.

So to answer your question, yes it would bother me, but thats just me, and even if I were in a position of power I would not attempt to stop public displays of affection, mostly cause its pissin me off what they are complaining about now a days, what with video games, and then that awesome billboard that said, "We're like a cult... just with better Kool Aid." Makes me sick. Course I'm a pretty darn tolerant person so I assume few will agree with me.
Do you also follow the Bible when it says that if your child disobeys you, you're allowed to drag them to the edge of town and stone them to death?

Anyway, yeah I can't say I think I'd really mind. I think I'd be a bit of a hypocrite for minding though.
Umm why the attacks? First off I'd like you to show me that verse and second, again, why the attacks? I didnt descriminate against anyone, in fact I openly said that I would tolerate just about anyone short of them wanting to kill me, so why the hate?

Crap - I thought we were gonna share tips.

Personally, I just look away and try not to think about it. It doesn't make me uncomfortable to see people kissing, but it sure as hell makes me lonely.

Where in my quote was "the hate", I was merely asking you a question.

...eh? =/
So you believe in 'an eye for an eye' AND 'turn the other cheek'?
If you can somehow worm a compromise out of that utter contradiction, I will applaud you.
(No offence to you personally, just your black-and-white reasoning.)
