I know this concept might be a little abstract to the average internet surfer, but here you go:CannibalRobots said:Just a Tad?bushwhacker2k said:... did you mean that the other way around? Simpsons is just a tad older than Family Guy and IMO Simpsons isn't that funny.Shivarage said:Not a game but... The Simpsons knocking off Family Guy
The Simpsons started in the 80s, Family guy was late 90s, if not 2000s
umm... I think you got it the other way around. The simpsons is the longest running animated show ever, family guy was created some years later to capitalize on their successShivarage said:Not a game but... The Simpsons knocking off Family Guy
In Bioshock the game isn't retro-futuristic it takes place in the 60sRedEyesBlackGamer said:Bioshock ripping off the retro-future 50's of Fallout. It really added to the atmosphere of the game.
And how does it rip off zelda exactly?Ordinaryundone said:Okami. Its everything Zelda is, but better.
We didn't have robots, genetically enhanced mutants, and underwater cities in the 60's. It is retro-futuristic.liamlemon7 said:In Bioshock the game isn't retro-futuristic it takes place in the 60sRedEyesBlackGamer said:Bioshock ripping off the retro-future 50's of Fallout. I thought they had in common 2 things Western Sandbox, so that sounds about the same to me.NeedAUserName said:How exactly? The only thing they have in common is the setting.theonlyblaze2 said:Red Dead Redeption. Knocked off Gun, but made it good.

Wait my definition of Retro-Futuristic might be wrong but in the game it is the 60s and for all purposes the rest of the world is just as the 60s was, except there is a Hush Hush Underwater city with unchecked scientific advancements which (i think) does not make it retro-futuristicRedEyesBlackGamer said:We didn't have robots, genetically enhanced mutants, and underwater cities in the 60's. I don't know. Let's just agree that they ripped off Fallout for the game's setting.liamlemon7 said:Wait my definition of Retro-Futuristic might be wrong but in the game it is the 60s and for all purposes the rest of the world is just as the 60s was, except there is a Hush Hush Underwater city with unchecked scientific advancements which (i think) does not make it retro-futuristicRedEyesBlackGamer said:We didn't have robots, genetically enhanced mutants, and underwater cities in the 60's. Correct me if I'm wrong
"The dog thing" is irrelevant, did you actually ever play Okami? Or a Zelda game for that matter? The entire structure of the game is set up exactly like a Zelda game. It has the same "Go until you hit an obstacle, find item to beat obstacle, go until you find next obstacle, repeat" that every Zelda game is built upon. Simply swap out the equipment with brush techniques. Hell, you even have a bouncing, glowing fairy friend who gives you advice. In fact, "the dog thing" and the general setting are pretty much what separates the two.brainless_fps_player said:And how does it rip off zelda exactly?Ordinaryundone said:Okami. Before you say "the dog thing", consult wikipedia. Okami was made before twilight princess.
Alright sounds good although I did just look up the definition and yes that is Retro-futuristic sort of so you winRedEyesBlackGamer said:I don't know. Actually, Rapture itself shares Art-deco designs common of the 1950's, not the 60's. The place was built and lived in during the 50's; Jack shows up late to the party.RedEyesBlackGamer said:I don't know.
