I want to direct all the detractors of Invisible Children to this page;

http://s3.amazonaws.com/www.invisiblechildren.com/critiques.html

It annoys me that people ***** about people not caring about World Issues, then when they do, they ***** even more!

Jees people. SOMETHING is better than NOTHING.
But what about when something is the wrong thing?

They only end up confirming that a only relatively small amount of money goes to helping people directly, and that IC is in favour of military intervention.

I'm not sure what I think of all that.

I'm gonna go and add this:

As well as this:

Seriously people, stuff like this has been going on for decades. Things aren't gonna change now just because a load of Facebook and Youtube users are aware of it.
That is my stance, and you did give me quite a chuckle.
Kids came to my school today raving about it and all I could think was that it's not going to change a thing. It's the way of the world, Africa has been like that for decades. And if they do catch him, another will take his place...whether it be a few months or years, another will still take his place

An interesting little read here. I am not saying what's in this link is "The truth" But you shouldn't take the video and the "Protest action" as reality either. There are no black and white, just different shades of gray.

"I love Australian democracy and isn?t it wonderful that we have the choice to click on this link to make us feel better," Flinders University senior lecturer Dr Tanya Lyons. "But they?re not heroes for clicking on a link. They're just lazy. And giving money won't help."

Honestly, I watched 13 minutes of the video and lost interest. If this guy is as bad as they say, no doubts he's already on a few lists. It's very convenient that we can stop this business by 'liking' a link on the internet, from the comfort of our homes. Sending a viral video around facebook, etc, is not going to do a thing.

I don't buy it, and have zero interest.

I have just joined a movement...one which will make a man, who has commited hundreds of crimes famous. His name is Joseph Kony. I won't be suprised if you haven't heard of him...most of the globe hasn't. but they should.

This is the start of something huge, gigantic even, to get this man arrested.

This man has kidnapped children, and forced them to kill, for no reason at all. The people who made the video above have opened my eyes, and i hope they open yours. for the first time in history, American advisors were sent to Uganda to help capture him...Because the people demanded it. However, it's been at least 6 years now, and no luck, they could be pulled out at any moment, and in order to keep them there, to help the Ugandan army, the people MUST know and support this group!

I post this here, cause other than Facebook, this is (for me) the best place to post it to make Kony known globaly, all i ask, is that you watch the video, and share this where ever you can.

If this was in the UK, or America, this man would of been arrested within a heart beat, so why not there?

Watch and share, and hopefully this man will be caught!
The charity is a scam. Yes Kony should be brought to justice but the best to do that would be in the form of public pressure on the US government, not by giving money to this "charity", who would off thought altruism would have become a commodity by the 21st century.

Don't worry, that Romanian AK will probably jam before he does anything bad.

My high school knew about this guy for years. The Invisible Children program was a pretty big part of my four years there. I'm surprised not a lot of other people knew about this.
I was in an "Invisible Children Club" when I was in High School too, mainly because of my strong sense of justice. I don't know how internet petitions are gonna help matters any, though. Honestly, this guy is one of the few people in the world I'd gladly use a Death Note on.
