I say fair play to her. I remember reading about her in a UK paper back at attempt 900 I think, where she said she wanted to pass simply so she could say she had. I don't see anything wrong with that.
As for people saying "I'm glad she's not driving anywhere near me" that could be said about alot of people. The requirements vary from country to country. I believe it's India where to pass all you have to do is drive 100m in a straight line, turn around and drive back the 100m. If you do that, you've passed.
