I am tired of Kotick and his inflamatory comments.

But I am far more tired of people getting all "upset" about his comments and then bowing to his wishes. YES, YOU... I AM TALKING TO YOU, self-proclaimed "hardcore gamer". You want to make a stand, then for fucks sake, DO IT. Stop bitching about pricing and policies, and don't run to buy Call of Duty 400 and its overpriced DLCs on day one. For all the crap he has sent our way, he is also the most sincere and accurate person in the industry.

Hey look a realist!

Personally I really just hope Kotick suffers a horrible horrible disease and has the whole "rebirth" thing where he tries to make amends.

Well, now you're just trying to exploit my feelings for Bloodlines and Troika in general, and that's just playing dirty sir. And I suppose the question to ask is "Would Kotick have allowed Black Isle to make Planescape?", the answer to which is a resounding no.
It's fairly common practice for game publishers to simply not pay small developers any money since there really isn't anything they can do about it. Troika is simply the example that sticks outin my mind.

These are some pretty serious accusations, citation needed here.
Which part? The hiring thugs part? Here:

Also, he said he wanted to destroy the fun in MAKING games. Not playing them, or you know, fun in general as your post seems to imply. I answered that in my previous post.
Yes but I still feel when somebody states their intended goal is explicitly destroy fun, that's a fairly noteworthy thing to say. I understand why he wants to do it but when a mans goal is to remove fun no matter what the circumstances I doin't feel that it's the sort of thing an even vaguely moral person would think. I'd understand if he said "I want a more professional atmosphere" or "I want a more serious buisnesslike approach to making games" I'd still disagree with him, but he goes to work each day to try and remove fun.

To be fair to the man, I did actually hop online because of Modern Warfare. That said, my previous time with my 360 was spent overseas so it wasn't really an option and Modern Warfare just happened to be the first exciting multiplayer game that was released once I got out of the Army.

Of course, Modern Warfare 1 and 2 only consumed a total of about 60 hours of my life and plenty of other games have matched or exceeded that.

I don't buy anything from Activision/Blizzard, or Ubisoft, and that's been going on almost a year now, so am i allowed to ***** about it?

I wouldn't be even slightly upset if the CoD series was completely removed from the 360 even though I have logged about 300hrs into the last three games.
Halo 3 was a far better game mainly through sheer variety, and Reach looks far better than Black Ops.

Activision will release a games console in 3-4 years from now.

Watch this space.
I totally think that you're right on that one. It's not an impossibility and that scares me, allot. Especially if you consider how many people would buy it.
So if they do make on, I'll blame you!
haha, please don't...

You have to wonder though... how long will COD keep them going? I have a feeling its popularity will be damaged after they didn't fix MW2.

Sooner or later someone's going to release a better shooter and they'll have to rethink thier whoring of it.

I won't... but, with Infinity Ward gone and the modern warfare franchise in some real trouble I don't think they'll make it with more than one fairly good release. After all, it's not about the game, it's about the name. [sup]no pun intended[/sup]
I mean, gamers ought to take a stand sometime, let's just hope it's in the not too distant future.

Given that I boycott Activision, I believe I can complain all I want. Not all gamers are hypocrites.

I have never heard about any of this before. None of it surprises me and it won't change the way I buy games or anything, though.

Oh no, guys! CEOs being greedy and trying to exploit people? WHAT HAS THE WORLD COME TO?!

At least CEOs of other companies PRETEND like they actually care about the consumer. Kotick doesn't even do that. He doesn't hide that he despises people and wants to milk them for all the money they're worth, and for that he won't get a dime of mine.

then Activision should release their own console which will likely be a piece of shit.
