It's a Rockstar game, I'm sure it will sell just fine.
Funny, Rockstar trying to make a story heavy game is exactly why I don't care for this game at all.

After how glorious RDRedemption was I'm definitely going to pick this game up.

If it's crap, Rock Star will have to regain my trust again (I haven't enjoyed a GTA game since Vice City, and didn't even bother buying GTA 4).

Wasn't Red Dead Redemption a story-heavy game? Just an honest question, but how did you feel about that one?

Hardcore Sandbox fans:No
hardcore Shooter fans: probably not.
Hardcore Rpg And Jrpg fans:probably not.
..and please explain to me how you know this for a FACT!

I for one am a complete RPG geek. That doesnt mean i dont enjoy Call of Duty or non-RPG games. What your basically saying here is "ALL Developers should throw imagination out the window. Why dont they just stick to the generic template for all genres because thats all people like".

...or did we all become one genre fanboys over night?

This may be my fanboyism speaking here, but LA Noire is going to be game of the year. I can almost guarantee it.
Okay, no. Its good, I will give you that. Very very good, on any other year it would sweep the GOTYs. But 2011? This year? No, Uncharted 3 has that in the bag.
Crap. I forgot about this one.

Actually, from what I've heard of LA Noire, I might actually take a look. I will say that it's the only rockstar game i'm even remotely interested in.

so yeah, the concept is sound, and it'll sell fine, as long as rockstar doesn't do a shit job making a game out of it.

Mexico was the only part of the story that wasn't a pain to get through. Gameplay was fine if a little boring and repetitive.

So long as they keep improving on what Uncharted is I totally agree.

I've been looking more into it because it doesnt seem like a mindless shooter or sandbox game.
Same here, I've been really looking forward to it and I absolutely disliked GTA4.

This game will sell A LOT. Rockstar games always tend to and it has strong backing. I have no idea why anybody thinks it wouldn't...

I suspect that a lot of people will buy it on the assumption that it's basically GTA in the 40's.

Which it isn't. Apparently.

The sales only depend on homuch they spend in marketing.

If it's good or not is the other question, does seem to be bit of a let down with it's linearity but I'll be keeping my eyes on it, most likely still a buy.
