I am severely confused.
Either way, that's no bloodier than Gears of War... of course that one may have been banned as well.orannis62 said:Actually, apparently, L4D2 will be more bloody, complete with dismemberment and chunks of head being blown away.
God forbid that we actually become aware that there are black people in the world. Asians, Hispanics, and whites are just fine in games, but the second you show a black zombie, you're the next Hitler.RavingPenguin said:No, but apparently it has Racist undertones. Anyway, thats just bogus. Im going to leave now before I go off on a mad tyrade.
Its hardly a kick in the balls. The OFLC pull this shit all the time. When you look at it objectively, with the amount of copies that will be sold in the Americas and Europe, the loss of Australia will hardly dent their margins. I want to see a company make the OFLC sweat.Baggie said:I have no doubt Valve and EA Australia will try their utmost to work around this, but it doesn't stop it being a complete kick in the balls.
No, there'll be and arbitrary change that may or may not affect the global release to change the adrenaline shot to "HAPPY JUICE" and everything will be peaches.Phoenix Arrow said:It's so tragic that I can't stop laughing.
How bad must they have gotten now? Did they forget they let the previous and (probably) almost identical game get released?
Here's what happens next. Valve/EA Australia (who distribute the games not on steam iirc) will appeal. It will get released. I think they should just let it not be released though. I mean, if the OFLC is going to be so immature (ironically) by assuming that the only gamers are little kids, then maybe they should deal with the outcry when a huge title gets blocked.
Either way, it will find its way to Australia sooner or later.
They're not really. The problem is they have to R/18 rating so all the games that are deemed to be too graphic/scary/morally objectionable are rejected. They have no R rating for games because only kiddies play games and why would a kiddie want to shoot zombies or steal cars? They have one for films though so it's just their government being obnoxious.Grayjack72 said:Why is Australia so strict? Pretty ironic considering it was founded by convicts.
Maybe he'll get it from *deep echoy voice* game trader Robena!AkJay said:Awh, now Yahtzee won't be able to play L4D2 =l
